Discover Deals Are Ending Completely

I recently posted how QVC had gone off Discover Deals again.  Now I've received an email from Discover that it is terminating the Deals program completely October 31st (which was in the subject line of the email). Bummer!  The 5% rebate at QVC really was helpful.  From the email:

Discover Deals is ending soon.

We've decided to retire Discover Deals as we focus on simpler and more meaningful ways to earn rewards. Any pending rewards will be added to your account as usual.

Thank you for your loyalty. Keep an eye out for exiting things to come and don't forget, you're always earning rewards on every purchase with your Discover card.

Well that stinks.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Any idea what the simpler, more meaningful ways to earn rewards will be? Give me two per cent on all purchases. That would be simpler. What is more meaningful than cash back?

I got this email, too, and very disappointed.  I used that a lot.  They dropped QVC last month and now it's the whole thing.

I hope they are not discontinuing the 3 month deal, too.  This time from Oct to Dec, Amazon is included in the 5% off, which means I will be using Amazon a lot this season.

@Patriot3  I really don't think Discover would be listing that, nor would have asked me to click to sign up for that (which I did) if that was being discontinued.  I wouldn't speculate about things that haven't happened.

@Sooner- discover Deals is located online, when you login to your Discover account. There’s a list of retailers that have enhanced cash back. Like maybe 5% cash back from QVC or wherever.

You click on the link and it takes you to the retailer’s site. You do your normal shopping and you’ll get 5% cash back on the purchase (or whatever the rate is for the particular retailer).
