@On It seems like every day we get a good downpour that can flood certain streets for a period of time. Hasn't helped cool things down though, still the heat index is well over 100 degrees in Southeast Florida. Keeping my fingers crossed no hurricanes coming for us yet!Smiley Sad

There is hope. We have had no measurable rainfall, but the weekend forecast looks promising. At least the temps are falling with highs in the upper 70's next week. That is in the normal range for mid-July and August. We have had 90's on some days which is unheard of.

 

I hope we can get rainfall to help with the deficit. It is a double edged sword here. The burn scar will likely flood. The forest is bone dry. Pines are stressed. Holding our breath that this situation will improve SOON!

Last night we had a lovely, long thunderstorm which brought up our monsoon season rainfall significantly. Show Low AZ now has 2" total ( but average by this date is 3").
