I thought my cable TV was bad so in a weak moment I switched to Direct TV. Now it's gone out. No bad weather here & even though it's their equipment, they said there must be something wrong with it but a service call is $49.95 & the worst part is they're not coming till Monday. To avoid the service charge I had to sign up for $5.95 "protection plan per month. I fail to understand why I have to pay for something that has failed that they own. And I'm stuck with them for 24 months or there is a $20/month cancellation fee for every remaining month. I bundled it with my phone & internet & dummy me didn't find out all the details. Oh well, lesson learned. My cable company never charged for repair. Anyone else have problems with them?
