Dinner table or lap?

When I was raising our children we always sat together at the table for all meals. On Saturday morning the kids were allowed to eat off trays to watch cartoons. Very few of my kids have this tradition anymore. Our table was the only place we could all be together at the same time. Is this tradition disappearing from your lives also?
