Any serial killer and so many others.

Plus, their parents.

I would like to "see" them and listen to the who, what, when, where, why, and how they became so evil.  What tripped their wire?  Why the need to destroy?  What drove them and what "pleasure" did they feel ... or did they even feel?

Doing good I can understand.  Pure evil I can't.  Hope I never do, but it does interest me.

@Preds, you stole my thunder. :-) I was going to list just one figure -- Adolph Hitler. I think even to get a glimmer of understanding a person like him would be of so much value to me -- and to the world.

In addition to the questions you listed, I would like to figure out the spark, the charisma that made so many "normal" people in his world follow such a dark figure. How does it happen? One small step at a time?

@suzyQ3

I was going to list Hitler, also.  Then I creeped myself out.  Just the other night, several of us were talking about the old question, If you could go back in time, could you...

@Noel7, I creep myself out all the time.

I'm not sure about your "several of us were talking about the old question, If you could go back in time, could you..."  Are you wondering whether you would have, um, "stopped" him?

@suzyQ3

Yes, but it usually comes as reference to the baby Adolf. I am pretty sure of my answer.

@Noel7, check out a Twilight Zone episode called "Cradle of Darkness."

@suzyQ3

I'll look for it!  Speaking of being creeped out, we were catching up on a few weeks of missed Grimm tv shows   Without the gory details, one was about a guy charged with kidnapping babies.  He could see into the future and each one grew up to be a very evil person.  How's that for a coincidence?

On the subject of  if you could go back in time -- I would love to go back to the 50's and early 60's. But I'd want to be an adult not a child.In my memory my parents & their friends had such a good time back then, Just hanging out together.

Re: Dining with historical figures!

@Preds, Awhile back I was thinking of the men I knew of in my life time that were Serial killers I was amazed at how many of them there were. Don't want to hijack the thread, but it's amazing about the info I came up with.

To go back a long time I would rather have my own ancestors great grandparents and great great  grandparents etc. to hear about their lives and the how & why of coming to America.

I like your list!!!  I would add Jesus, Abraham Lincoln, Richard Burton ( his voice did me in, lol) and of course my ancestors, too!
