My late husband and I did Crow Rescue. We rescued a number of baby crows and injured crows. They ARE extremely intelligent. Spiritual animals in Native Americn lore.

I always can tell the difference by the ruff around the raven's neck. We have both. Live in a semi rural area. More crows then ravens. Also ravens have a pretty black color. Kind of velvety. While crows have a "flat" black. They are both smart. And I have seen crows with thin sticks in their mouths, searching to bugs to teat.In winter, I rarely see ravens. Plenty of crows though.
