I was watching an episode of House Hunters yesterday and they had an Indian family on. They had taken in the husband's uncle, gave him the master suite and they moved their bed to the basement. They mentioned they considered it an honor to take in the uncle. It struck me as a contrast to how many do things in our (American) culture where we don't seem to value our elders as much. IMO it's a shame.
Have you or would you take your elders in to live with you? Have you moved in with your children or ever expect to in your later years?
