Nothing compares to the fun I had in college!!

I loved my high school years so very much. We had the best time in class, drill team, sock hops/formal dances ect......... Where did the time fly to since graduation in 1980?
I loved Jr. High and Elementary but High School was a blast.

Elementary school, mostly because back then classes were allowed to have holiday parties, and art supplies weren't so limited as they are in today's classrooms. We exchanged names for Christmas gifts and had a tree we decorated in our classrooms, plus made all the decorations to hang on the tree. Halloween & Valentine's days were fun, too. Back then we could bring home made cookies and cupcakes, too.

Out of the 3 choices, I'd pick Elementary School, but college was the most fun.

High School. I loved it and grew out of my awkward stage. In Junior High my nickname was Twiggy and I hated it. I was tall and very thin. High School was probably one of the best times of my life....

Jr high was pure torture but I loved grade school and high school.
Lucky for me that the majority of my jr high’s student body was funneled into a different high school.

College and beyond. Mom diagnosed with cancer when she was 30 -- I was 4. She lived 8 more years. Just a sad household for many reasons. Plus, dad had PTSD from five years in WW2. Close family lived 1000 miles away when dad moved to Midwest to get training on GI Bill - stayed in the area when he got a good job at the airport. However -- we didn't miss a meal and dad had a great job with the airlines. Met some good friends 1st - 12th grade who I still connect with. They didn't see my pain and worry. My military dad taught me to hide it well. Began taking gratitude, faith, hope and charity to heart after high school. I've had a fortunate life.

High school was a lot of fun! So many great memories!
Elementary school on the other hand I was very shy and didn't have many friends. The most fun though was in college!

I was a child, kids have fun everywhere. I didn't go to school to have fun, I went to learn and since I was a good student who loved to learn, I enjoyed school. I'm only 57 but I don't remember much about jr high...they call it middle school now. I went to an all girl's h.s. and it was small and I wouldn't say it was "fun". I had a circle of friends who like myself were interested in academics and our college was our focus. I remember, all ever thought about in h.s. was getting through it so I could get to college.
