Several trips to the mailbox wondering where is the mail?! Last trip hit me like a ton of bricks! Holiday silly!! Looking around  neighborhood, I felt ridiculous. Creature of habit! Forgetful too!

I do it all the time on holidays and then when it is evening it usually dawns on me that there is no mail today after several trips to the mailbox. LOL

I do it on a regular mail day, forgetting that I just got the mail already. 

Good thing my mailbox is right there on the front of my house!   I'd be pretty embarrassed if I had to walk out near the sidewalk and people saw me. heh

I almost did it today too. I told my husband I was going out to get the mail and he replies there is no mail today. Oops!

Yes I have done that several times.

But today I was surprised to see our USPS lady was delivering loads of packages to our office. Thats pretty good!

Though I wonder if the USPS workers think, jeez, if there's no mail, why can't there be no packages today too?!

I'm ashamed to admit I looked too. And that was after we were out and DH mentioned no school etc. today.

Today I was headed to the post office to pick up a package which couldn't be delivered Saturday due to our snowy lane.  Good thing I mentioned it to my husband; he reminded me it was a holiday.

Not the mailbox,but the bank!  I knew perfectly well yesterday that today would be a bank holiday, but this morning I filled out a deposit slip and stopped at the bank. Only when I saw that it was deserted did I have my aha moment.

Do it every time.  Even remind myself on the way home, but that's a waisted thought.  LOL  Habits are habits and they don't care what day it is.
