After the slideruler I used the classic HP-15C calculator, released in 1982.

It was a workhorse and I used the same one at work for years and years and years!

I had one class in HS.....very early 70s where we learned to use them.  The teacher passed them out then collected them at the end of the class. 

Calculators had just come out and  we were not allowed to use them on tests.

Never even held one, other than a ruler I had to use a protractor.

Yes, it was for my high school chemistry class.  Could never get the hang of it.

I never caught on to any sort of math subjects so never progressed to having to use a slide rule. When I first started working after graduation, at a bank, I had to use a 100-key manual calculator! I could make those 100 keys sing. That was before we moved on to computer banking. My first job was to reconcile customer bank statements. Some had not reconciled ever, it was quite a task but I loved it.

Heaven's no.  Most I could do, slide the ruler across the floor.  Unless it was in Home Ec.
