Last year, I was one of those who placed orders close to Christmas, with "guaranteed" online delivery. None of my last minute orders were things I needed to have by Christmas, so I wasn't affected. But did feel for those who needed their things by Christmas.
Fast forward to this year. Again, I had all my needed Christmas items delivered a week beforehand, but bought some last minute things for myself...with guaranteed delivery by Christmas. I was okay with them being late.
My deliveries over the last 4 days have come from 3 different shipping companies. I got deliveries on Sunday! First time ever....and my last delivery came today, around 6:30 PM.
Kudos to all the delivery companies and their workers for their hard work this year! I heard most of them have been working 12 hour days.

I ordered over 50% of my Christmas gifts on line this year. I received all of them before Christmas by either FedEx, UPS or USPS. I even got a delivery on Sunday from USPS. So, I must say the ordering (me), shipping and delivery were better this year for me. I am a happy camper!
Merry Christmas.

Anika, I got two deliveries this past Sunday from USPS. I was so surprised. It would have been fine with me if I received them on the next regular delivery day (Monday), but I think they went out of their way this year to stay on top of deliveries...maybe just in case of bad weather.....

I didn't do much online shopping this Christmas. Which was unusual for me. Usually, about 80% of my purchases are online. I think for one thing - all the hacking stuff was kind of on my mind. And another thing - I was more on my game this year for some reason. Throughout the year as I happened to see something with "someone's name on it", I picked it up. So, I really didn't have that hard of a time being prepared and did not have to rush around at the last minute. Nothing worse than waiting for the mail every day -- hoping and praying for a special gift to come in time!!!

I haven't done holiday shopping for a few years now, but all my Amazon orders and the couple things I ordered from other retailers in the last month or so arrived on or before the ETA given.
I did order one little kitchen item from QVC a couple of weeks ago and it arrived promptly.

If you're talking about the Q then it was the same as all the other years. I've learned to stop depending on them one month before the holiday, period. I shop and buy elsewhere.
Got the once yearly wrong order which belonged to someone else.

I would never count on getting something delivered at Christmas time. First - it is too iffy and second - it is too important to me. So , unless it is months away I shop locally for Christmas. I did get my DH a smart phone tracfone from HSN but it was before Thanksgiving when I bought it so I wasn't at all nervous about it not coming on time. I shopped around a bit to see prices on this specific phone and just as in the summer when I got myself one - HSN had the best deal.
