@bmorechick    Tell him to try White Sands National Park in New Mexico next time.  People really need to get out and see America.  So many beautiful places.

 You know, the first I heard of these sand dunes was in the photos of Chris Watts and his mistress!

@Kachina624 I definitely will!  He and my younger son went to Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Moab this past summer. They drive and sleep in the van and love it. They said that's the only way to see things but the are in their late 20s early 30s so yeah. Low maintenance dudes.

Beautiful!!!!! When I lived in New Mexico (Holloman AFB), my ex husband and I would often visit White Sands National Park, I loved it.

@bmorechick    They sound like young men who have their values in order, probably thanks to their parents.

The Moab area is one of my favorite places on earth.  So many magnificent things to see!

Some of the sand in The Great Sand Dunes Park comes from all over the planet via the jet stream. The geology of that area acts like a funnel with wind directing the sand to pile up in one area. It's very surreal when you go there...almost otherworldly

It is a beautiful place to visit. And you're right @Kachina624 people need to explore our   country. So many beautiful places.

We've had a chance to explore many of the western states, including Alaska. But we have not done much traveling in the New England area. I hope to convince him we should get out to the north east coast, but he loves the wild, wild west. Smiley Happy

@Kachina624

No did not know, thank you for the info and the beautiful picture!  Transplanted almost 25 years ago to Colorado from the Bay Area and haven't seen a lot of this beautiful state!  That's something about the alligators.
