Re: Did QVC's Price Adjustment Policy change again???

I agree that it doesn’t seem fair as far as (same exact item) is concerned…

ie.. If I buy lipstick at Sephora that comes in10 different shades, and the shade I bought is sold out, that doesn’t mean I can’t get the price adjustment on the lipstick if it goes down in price. 🤣

I do love to shop, and I shop many, many places.

QVC IMO always had the most generous price adjustment policy. I remember getting refunds for just a few dollars on items I purchased, because since they offered the refunds, I always checked everything.

Shop HQ changed their policy to only give store credit for price adjustments.

High-end stores like NM and Saks are very strict. For Saks, you have seven days only, and they must have the same size and style.  For NM, you have ten days, and you must have purchased the item at the full price.   There are no adjustments on sale items if a price is further reduced.

So, any more I just consider the price of a QVC item and decide if I truly am willing to spend the money.  I see a LOT of bargain prices on QVC (Lunchtime and Prime time specials), but many times the sizes are very limited, so I understand this requirement of size availability.

QVC is not high end. The stores that are high end are a different story. When I choose to spend money on a designer or luxury item it is a choice. Most likely there will not be a sale or lower price. I know that going in.

QVC has to keep up with the other retailers in the same category.

Re: Did QVC's Price Adjustment Policy change again???

Ladies on a Facebook QVC group were discussing this change.  It's crazy and customers were not advised of this change.  At least I wasn't.  I think it would have been easier  to understand if they just eliminated price adjustments.

I've never asked for a price adjustment. If something is more than I am willing or able to spend I don't order. I agree to the price when I order the item.

I definitely would not expect a price adjustment on a holiday item after the holiday.

@Iwantcoffee  -  I've never asked for a price adjustment.  I don't monitor the prices of items I've already purchased - unless I'm wanting to purchase another one.

I recently got $18 back.  Yes, I was willing to pay the higher price, but a wearable throw and a few temptations items went on sale.  10 second email to them, and an instant reply.  I'll gladly take another $18 in my pocket.  Easy with the social team.  All were sale prices, no clearance or LTS.  I was extra happy because they were items I bought on free shipping days.

Also, retuned a pair of boots they sent in the wrong color.  They charged the return shipping, the social team reversed it in minutes.  My color was sold out in my size, but another solid color worked for me.  Win win.  I've used the social team maybe 5 times in several years, always, a quick response.

well aren't you special, some how you are better than those who ask for a price adjustment?  Maybe you have money as not to care, I don't!  Furthermore don't appreciate being dupped by QVC with policy changes to suit there best interest and not the customers. They rope you in and hang you up with the same intial appealing sale(s)

Lucky for me, I have multiple emails and information that I can as a poor consumer looking to have quality (most of the time) merchandise keep ordering as a "new" customer and get $20/off each additional order.....they don't even offer exsisiting customers a promo only new

sorry to be a pain, just felt less than cause I (others) are trying to save a buck well in my case $30, ahh thats over 2 dozen eggs to feed my family for a month, you do buy eggs right?

Easier for me to just shop elsewhere. I will still look for good deals here, but, mainly I like the policies of other retailers.

@RCWms, I don't know who you are calling special, but other retailers have never had, or have done away with price adjustments.

And I find it distasteful, to put it kindly, that you open new accounts with different emails just to "game" the system.

For those of you who comment QVC isn't what it used to be, well it shouldn't be.  In the 30 sometching years I have been with qvc, I have experienced them going from no internet, no cell or phone apps, live sales only except for Christmas. They didn't even have automated ordering when I first started. When those TSV's came in at midnight, 9pm my time ...it was havoc.  Literally busy lines, wait holds.  Sometimes sell outs while waiting.

I think they have gradually had to change policy, and rules since advent of the internet, online ordering,  and such. I imagine there were many laws they had to adjust because of abuse of system.  I see that in the change of the darn shipping label. I loved those. But in reality, makes you think, and saves them tons of money. People ordering several colors, sizes, then returning free with ship label. Now it's a bit of work to print label , etc. I heard they could not resell those clothes that were returned, although mistakes were made by employees sorting and they may have been restocked.  Things change over nearly 40 years.  People DO NOT shop like they used to, and market is way too competitive. Gone are the days QVC was their own competition
