Dental work/cleaning on cats

My 5 kitty boys are costing me a small fortune with their teeth. One of them has had two cleanings in 3 years and soon will need another.

My youngest was recently examined and will soon need a cleaning. We did the antibiotic shot that they do BEFORE the cleaning to rid them of infection while being cleaned. I like my vet and trust her recommendations, but good heavens it is expensive!

Unfortunately, their gums are often inflamed and such, so there really isn't a way to say, no and not risk damaging their long term health.

I love my guys and will do what I must, but has anyone found a solution to all this cleaning?
