Defrosting Freezer

It's time to defrost my freezer. Vermont Country Store has a product called Frost Free that you spray on the ice. Has anyone ever used this? Does it work? Do you know of a local store where I can buy it? I just hate this job so much that I am considering after all the food is gone I just might unplug it and use it to store my baking pans, etc.(big freezer and I live alone). TIA
