I watched SCREAM, BLACULA, SCREAM and the 1st BLACULA movie yesterday. Quite campy but so much fun.  ... I did start yelling at the TV.  I might need to BACK AWAY from the Comet channel.

Have you ever had someone skip out on paying the restaurant check, leaving you to pay for it?

It seems it's one guy method of operation,  from an online dating site. He has done this to several women  leaving them to pay a bill of over a hundred dollars.

So be warned all you single ladies

Being the well-trained and well-bred Southern lady I am, I would simply pay the check, shake his hand, bid him good night and have the maitre'de call me a cab, and throw him out of the restaurant if he hung around and didn't get the message.

That would settle that little fiasco.

I can understand your genteel background and grace, but how could you shake his hand if he'd already skipped out of the restaurant?

The problem is, he skipped out, so there would be polite shaking of hands. :-)

As an aside, I would definitely not start with a dinner date. That's just too much with a stranger. A drink or a cup of coffee, that's it. Then if there's chemistry, dinner or some other activity (no, not that, well maybe) would be fine.

i have never  had a date that skipped out on paying (I only dated 2 guys, one was a friend and the other became my husband--almost 50 yrs now).

What i have noticed a couple times was, a table of guys order all kinds of drink and food and all of a sudden they get up and just leave. The first time i saw that, my mouth dropped open. Was shocked to see people just leave and waitress with the bill to pay.

I've never had a date skip out on the bill.  I've never been on a

blind date though.

Dating seems so complicated today

If someone did this to me on a first date, I'd consider it a blessing.  Better to find out right off the bat, that this person is a loser.
