Day train trips for fun

In the future, I think if we're able, I'd like to take a day trip on a train. I see that there's one that goes by Lake Michigan and one by the winerys. This would give me something to look forward to for "some day". Can't do it now, because of obligations, but I think this would be fun for hubby and me.

We're at the point of "day trips" and I think I'll start seeing what else in the state, we can explore. We're at that point in life. We've never been over to the thumb area. LOL. I love to explore.

Anyone taken a trip for a day they'd care to share on here?
