I love David Markstein jewelry and have many pieces but all in 18k gold clad.  I would like to get some rhodium plated pieces but would like to know if they tarnish? I like ULtrafine jewelry because it always stays new and shiny.  Thanks for letting me know your experience with his rhodium  plated jewelry.

@usffan I believe he is the one Lisa Robertson used to sell her jewelry once she left QVC.  Now she sells other jewelry and I purchased one of her bracelets $69 which was absolute junk.  Tarnished and broke.  DM jewelry looks beautiful but sorry I can't answer your question.  I would stay with stainless steel if he offers that option.  I never had the ultra fine selection as you mentioned.

@usffan. In my humble opinion this line of jewelry is junk.  I got the silver in a necklace in January, put it on and have worn it every day since.  It's no longer shiny, has a strange metallic brass smell and I swear it has a yellow cast to the color like the plating is rubbing off.

It's nowhere in the same Class as Ultrafine, which I also have.   Of course the price is considerably different since Ultrafine is solid sterling,  but is certainly much better quality and worth the price.

David sells very well made costume jewelry that looks like much more expensive items.

As the former QVC gold buyer, he learned a lot about design, construction, and both classical and trending styles. Over the years I did purchase QVC gold, and I treasure those items. 

I think his bronze pieces offer a reasonably priced alternative to fine jewelry. 

Plating on jewelry will eventually wear off, especially if the item is exposed to water, sun, soap, perfume, skin acid, etc., etc. 

Ultrafine is probably a much better investment just because of the purity of the metal, but silver needs to be cleaned (or worn) to prevent tarnishing. 

I think DM is jewelry to wear for fun, and style, and just to splurge a tiny bit on a nice new piece of bling. 

However, I do not wear bronze, just because I find the metal a bit too heavy for me, but most people would not complain about the weight.

@Kachina624 you're very accurate.  Same experience I had with Lisa Robertson's jewelry and she colabberated with DM prior to now being on her own.  I would never waste any $$ on either of these lines.  It looks attractive but junk
