This man just gers better with age. He is a gracious and knowledgeable host. Watching the QVC parade has become sort of an annual tradition for me. Wish they would air the parade non stop. Not sure why they allow a local weatherman to take air time away from out QVC favorites.

Re: Dan Hughes emcee of parade

Adam Joseph is a good guy.  I think he's a good fit with Dan and Carolyn.

He was there to co-host with Dan & Carolyn.

@Reever

If not mistaken, I think this might have been discussed in the past.   This is not solely QVC's parade.

QVC West Chester Christmas Parade
Friday, November 30, 2018
West Chester, Pennsylvania
Jingle Elf Run 6:30pm | Parade 7:15pm | Holiday Village 5-9pm

It’s that time again—let’s get ready to ring in the holiday season with the annual QVC West Chester Christmas Parade! This year is set to be our BEST parade yet, with enough holiday spirit to keep Santa’s sleigh flying high until Christmas Day.

This annual West Chester tradition, hosted by the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, will kick off Friday, November 30, 2018 at 5:00pm (parade starts at 7:15pm). The parade promises to provide a seasonal mix of traditional elements with a modern twist—local schools, businesses, volunteer fire companies, and other service organizations will join the many marching bands, floats, and antique vehicles that have cemented themselves as mainstays in the QVC West Chester Christmas Parade experience.

Also returning this year as Master of Ceremonies is 6abc’s own Adam Joseph, along with QVC hosts. Our hosts will be introducing speakers, entertainers, and other volunteers all night, so be sure to come early to get a good spot! But that’s not all! Before the parade, many local businesses and organizations throughout downtown West Chester will be hosting Holiday Open Houses featuring seasonal refreshments and entertainment in preparation for the parade, plus the 10th Annual Jingle Elf Run & Walk. The 2-mile race (or 1-mile walk) kicks off at 6:30pm (before the parade).

The Chamber is proud to again welcome QVC as our title sponsor! “The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with QVC on this fantastic family event,” says Chamber President Mark Yoder. “Their continued sponsorship for this beloved holiday parade demonstrates their support, not only for the Chamber, but for the entire Greater West Chester community.”

QVC, the title sponsor behind Friday night’s parade, will be broadcasting live, on-site, with updates of the parade. The company will also film extended parade highlights that will be broadcast periodically during Christmas Day. Tune in to QVC!

The QVC West Chester Christmas Parade is one of West Chester’s premier events, and we can’t wait for you to experience all the exciting events of the night. See you all there!

There's a furry activity throughout Downtown West Chester, PA surrounding the parade. Open houses starting early Friday and continuing through Sunday. While you're out shopping this holiday season, think about the needy,. . . the 2018 Christmas Toy Drive presented by WSFS Bank is collecting toys at WSFS branch locations (Nov. 9 - Dec. 8) culminating with the 2018 WSFS Bank Christmas Toy Drive Breakfast (open to the public, RSVP required) on Dec. 13 at St Agnes School. The Jingle Elf Run will take place on Friday just before the parade. The Holiday Village is open Friday, 5-9pm near the parade main stage. @ValuSkr, I agree and think that he is a good fit with Dan and Carolyn.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Personally, I was surprised at the number of times they replayed the parade video during the day.  One showing directly after the previous hour.  Twice would have been enough.  Boring after one go.

They did re-air it several times.  I tuned into Q off-and-on during the day, yet managed to see the parade at least twice.  Well, it was the only holiday programming available, so they made the most of it, I suppose.
