Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Wait patiently for God to answer Your prayers. He has patiently waited for
you to ask.
Lord, Your promises are everlasting and I will always receive what I need
when the time
is right.

"This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in
it." ~Psalm 118:24

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

Many of us have had to live through the dark part of our lives, the
time of failure, the nighttime of our lives, when we were full of
struggle and care, worry and remorse, when we felt deeply the tragedy
of life. But with our daily surrender to God comes a peace and joy
that makes all things new. We can now take each day as a joyous
sunrise-gift from God to use for God and for other people. The night
of the past is gone. This day is ours.

P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y

I pray that I may take this day as a gift form God. I pray that I may
think God for this day and be glad in it.

Greetings my friends! Hope your day was pleasant! We did have a fun day
today - this afternoon we met a new couple at their house for our card club,
played 500, and we won! Later after supper, our friends, Gordy and Linda,
who used to be our neighbors at our other house, came over for a visit. On
the 25th, Linda will be going to the Mayo Clinic for more tests to see if
she has cancer - poor thing! She's had so much to deal with already and
surgeries, and maybe will need another one. Please pray for her - she is in
great need of healing! In spite of all that, we had a very lovely visit
with them. It was a very nice day.

Beware of Losing Your Roots
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.

Ezra 6:7-8,12,14-20 / Lk 8:19-21

The experience of being exiled is terrifying because it cuts a person off
from his roots and his community, and leaves him free-floating in an unknown
place. Rootless and unconnected, who are we? A terrifying question, and one
that had to be faced by a whole generation of Jews who were sent into exile
in Babylon after a disastrous defeat that left Jerusalem and their temple in
smoking ruins. They remained in exile for 70 years, long enough for almost
all of them to die and for their children and grandchildren to grow up with
no memory of home and little memory of their special relationship with the
Lord. So when King Darius set them free and sent them home, it hardly felt
like home anymore. After so long a time, most of the people had lost their
roots and their faith.

It can happen to us for any number of reasons, but usually quite gradually.
Without noticing it, we can lose our roots. And when some turning point
comes, some moment of decision, we can find ourselves without a rudder,
without a North Star, flailing about and almost inevitably making bad
choices.

Some of those exiled Jews reconnected with their roots and were a part of
the celebrations we read about today. The rededication of their temple was
about more than a building. It was about their remembering who they were at
their very center. And that is the challenge for us, never to forget, never
to allow that knowing to be eroded, but always to renew that identity which
defines us as special and keeps us headed toward life: We are your people,
Lord, and you are our God.

Got a Minute?

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out God is all you
need.

U Got a Minute?
60 Seconds for God?

All you do is simply say a small prayer for the person who sent you this.

(Father God bless _________ in whatever it is that you know he or she may be
needing this day! And may __________'s life be full of your peace,
prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with you.
Amen).

Now send it on to 5 other people. Within hours 5 people have prayed for you,
and you caused a multitude of people to pray to God for other people. Then
sit back and watch the power of God work in your life for doing the thing
that you know he loves.

A God of Grace

Look deep within yourself and recognize what
brings life and grace into your heart. It is this
that can be shared with those around you. you
are loved by God. This is an inspiration to love.

The Lord's chief desire is to reveal Himself to you,
and in order for Him to do that, He give you His
abundant grace. The Lord gives you the experience
of enjoying His presence. He touches you, and His
touch is so delightful that, more than ever, you are
drawn inwardly to Him.

The ultimate test of your spirituality is the measure
of your amazement at the grace of God.

To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in every
thing He has given us, and he has given us everything.
Every breath we draw us a gift of His love, every moment
of existence is a gift of grace, for it brings with it immense
grace from Him.

Grace comes into the soul, as the morning sun into the
world; first a dawning, then a light; and at last the sun in
it's full and excellent brightness.

Let your hope fully on the grace to be given you when
Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:13

A Lifetime Guarantee

Will you take me back, dear Lord,
I've been gone from You so long;
I have lost track of all my sins,
And I've spent years in doing wrong.

I did so many prideful things,
And shamelessly did boast;
I broke so many loving hearts
And hurt the people I loved most.

I've heard about atonement,
I've been warned of Judgment Day;
And even though I listened,
I still strayed far away.

Will you welcome me again, dear Lord,
And forgive me one more time?
Will You share Your Father's love with me,
If I truly give You mine?

I'm so sorry that I left You, God,
I'm saddened now ... and low;
God smiled, "You didn't leave me, child,
I never let you go!"

"I promised you Salvation,

My Word cannot be undone;

You got a Lifetime Guarantee,

When I gave up my Precious Son."

Prayer to Our Lady of the Angels
You are fair, O Mary,
And the stain of original sin is not in you.
You are the glory of Jerusalem;
You are the joy of Israel;
You are the honor of our people;
You are the advocate of sinners, O Mary

Our Lady of the Angels,
Virgin most prudent,
Mother Most loving,
Pray for us,
Intercede for us with Jesus Christ our Lord.
(mention your request)

AMEN.

Prayer when feeling hurt or injured

Lord God, touch this place with your gentle hand.
Let your peace pour into the soreness,
wash away the pain,
heal the damage and give new strength by your Holy Spirit.

Help us to forgive, to renounce any bitterness or resentment and receive the
healing touch of Jesus.

Amen.

Good night all - Sweet Dreams and may you all enjoy a beautiful Wednesday
filled with lots of blessings!
