Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Hello my friends! Beautiful day here in the Neighborhood!! First it rained alot, then it got warm and sunny and turned out great!! A great blessing!! Picked some asparagus today - we'll have them tomorrow - hope they keep on coming up! Hope your day went well - all of you! Enjoy the Gift of God's day!!!

God uses our trials to draw us closer to Him. Sometimes it's the only way

that He

gets our attention. Lord, I accept with joy the times that You test me and

give You

my joy as a prayer in the times that I lack for nothing. In You I am

complete.

Scripture for the day:

Jesus said, "If the same person sins against you seven times a day, and

turns back to you seven times and says, 'I repent,' you must

forgive." The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" The

Lord replied, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to

this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey

you. ~Luke 17:4-6

Meditation for the day:

When I overcome myself, then I can truly forgive other people for injuries

done to me. The self in me does not forgive injuries. The very thought of

wrongs means that my self is in the foreground. Since the self does not

forgive, I can work at overcoming my selfishness. I can cease trying to

forgive those who fretted and wronged me. It can be a mistake for me even

to think about these injuries. I can aim at overcoming myself in my daily

life and then I can find there is nothing in me that remembers injury,

because the only thing injured, my selfishness, is gone.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may hold no resentments. I pray that my mind may be washed

clean of all past hates and fears.

I looked this up - hope you like it:

Although things are not perfect

Because of trial or pain

Continue in thanksgiving

Do not begin to blame

Even when the times are hard

Fierce winds are bound to blow

God is forever able

Hold on to what you know

Imagine life without His love

Joy would cease to be

Keep thanking Him for all the things

Love imparts to thee

Move out of "Camp Complaining"

No weapon that is known

On earth can yield the power

Praise can do alone

Quit looking at the future

Redeem the time at hand

Start every day with worship

To "thank" is a command

Until we see Him coming

Victorious in the sky

We'll run the race with gratitude

Xalting God most high

Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...

Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!" The shortest distance between a problem

and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.

The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be

with you forever, Amen.

PS: GOD LOVES YOU...PASS THE WORD ON TO MORE

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk everyday and while you walk, smile.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

3. Live with the 3E's... Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy and the 3F's... Faith,

Family, Friends.

4. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of six.

5. Dream more while you are awake.

6. Realize that life is a school and you're here to learn, pass all your

tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away

like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

7. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

8. Life isn't fair but it's still good.

9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

10. Don't take yourself so seriously, no else does.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't mess up the present.

12. Don't compare your life with others. You have no idea what their journey

is all about.

13. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don't save it for a special

occasion. Today is special.

14. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

15. Forgive everyone for everything.

16. What other people think of you is none of your business.

17. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

18. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

19. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will,

stay in touch.

20. The best is yet to come.. believe.

21. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

22. Do the right thing.

23. Each night before you go to bed, complete the following statements; "I

am thankful for.. ", Today I accomplished... "

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed

25. Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly

don't want a fast pass. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

A young convert approached his pastor with a question. "How can God, who is

good, forgive a sinner? Isn't he repulsed by all the hatred and jealousy

that fills people?"

The pastor looked warmly at this young, enthusiastic friend and said, "You

are the third generation in a family of master furniture makers. Tell me, if

a fine table that your grandfather had made was scratched, would you throw

it away?" "Of course not!" the young man exclaimed. "A scratch can hardly

change the character of a fine piece of furniture."

"And," the pastor continued, "if you nicked a well-crafted oak table, would

you toss it away?" "Throw it away? No way!" reacted the young man. "Even

with a few scratches, quality furniture is sturdy and valuable."

"You have spoken like a true professional," the pastor replied. "You share

the same norm that God follows when he judges people precious and valuable

in spite of their obvious flaws."

May Angels Keep You

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May the angels guard your mornings,

May they guide you through the night.

May they comfort all your sorrows,

May they help you win each fight.

May they keep watch on your soul,

May they show you better ways,

May they guard you while you're sleeping,

May they see you through your days.

May they show you hopes and dreams,

May they still your every doubt,

May they calm your every fear,

May they hear you when you shout.

May the angels always keep you,

More than this I cannot pray,

And if the angels ever fail you,

Then may God be there that day.

TREES

You can learn a lot about life by watching a tree. If you don´t

believe me then take a look at one yourself. Trees teach us about strength

as they grow solidly and

powerfully towards the sky.

They also teach us about compromise, though. Even the strongest tree

is not afraid to bend to the stronger wind. Trees teach us about peace.

There is nothing more

calming and relaxing than lying under a tree on a warm summer´s day. They

also teach us about

energy and vitality, however. Anyone who has seen a tree go from being

barren and leafless

to having thousands upon thousands of bright green leaves in just a few

months can attest

to that. Trees teach us more than just these few things, of course. Trees

can teach us patience.

Chewed by bugs, pecked by woodpeckers, and even scarred by lightening

trees continue to quietly grow and live. Trees can also teach us about being

beautiful

and vibrant. If you have ever

seen the leaves of Autumn trees with their golds, oranges, yellows, and

reds then you will know

what I mean.I think the most important thing that our friends the trees

teach

us, however, is about oneness with God.

If you have ever wanted to feel the spirit of God all around

you then go into a grove

of trees and sit quietly for an hour. In their quiet, beauty,

patience, strength, energy, humbleness,

and joy trees share with us the very spirit of our loving God.

Trees are one of our greatest gifts. They not only provide us

with oxygen, wood, shade, food,

and medicines but also provide us with many lessons on how to live.

Let us not neglect the gift then but care for it and cherish it forever.

-- Joseph J. Mazzella

Mother Teresa said...

If you are searching for God and do not know where to begin, learn to pray

and take the trouble to pray every day. You can pray at work - work doesn't

have to stop prayer and prayer doesn't have to stop work. Tell Him

everything, talk to Him. He is our father, He is to us all whatever religion

we are. We are all created by God, we are his children. We have to put our

trust in Him, believe in Him, work for Him. And if we pray, we will get all

the answers we need.
