Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Our body is the temple of God and our soul is His image. It is the devil's
work to make us forget that and feel useless, incapable and worthless.
Lord, I will not deny Your existence in me. I am strong and capable
because You live and work through me.

"In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not
so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take
you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also." ~John
14:2-3

We can look at the world as our Father's house. We can think of all
people we meet as guests in our Fathers house, to be treated with love
and consideration. We can look at ourselves as servants in our
Father's house, as servants of all. We can think of no work as
beneath us. We can be ready to do all we can for others who need our
help. There is gladness in God's service. There is much satisfaction
in serving the highest that we know. We can express our love for God
in service to all
who are living with us in our Father's house.

I pray that I may serve others out of gratitude to God. I pray that
my work may be a small repayment for God's grace so freely given me.
Hello my friends! Well what a day! I finally got my computer back, but when it got back everything was gone! My list, my everything! Then found out that while I was using my old computer these few days, the Outlook Express swiped everything from my new computer and left it blank. So the computer guy had to have his Dad on the phone - they work together, and get it transferred to this new computer. I was scared, but knew God was with me - and He'd work it out and He did. A lot of my emails from today is missing though, so if any of you emailed me today - this afternoon, it's not in my inbox. So far I don't know how to retrieve them. But it's a blessing to have this back and working again and virus free! Hope your day was much better than mine! Another great blessing - I knew the price for the virus cleaning was going to be $160 flat fee. But when it got returned and nothing was working - and it costs $65.00 per hour to work on them, I really was scared about the money. After it was done, he and his Dad decided to keep the flat rate and not charge anymore, even though they worked on it for about 3 hours! Thanks be to God for His surprises!! Now this new version - I don't know why, but when I type this on plain text, it's blue instead of black. I like that better and hope it comes out okay on the thread. I haven't seen the thread since this afternoon sometime, so I'll just post this starting anew.
I have a lot of work left to do on this computer to get my list together and in working order. I really hate that when a virus gets in and causes so much trouble!
I pray that NO more viruses get into my computers and yours either! Since my emails are lost so far, I don't have much to share tonight, as they were on the inbox.
I'll just share what I can right now.
THE LESSON OF THE COFFEE BEAN
Author Unknown
A daughter complained to her father about how hard things were for
her."As soon as I solve one problem," she said, "another one comes up.
I'm tired of struggling."
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen where he filled three pots
with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a
boil. In one he placed carrots, in the second, eggs, and in the last,
ground coffee
beans. He let them sit and boil, without saying a word.
The daughter impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After a
while, he went over and turned off the burners. He fished out the
carrots and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed
them a bowl. He
poured the coffee into a bowl. Turning to her he asked, "Darling, what
do you see?"
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
He brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and
noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break
it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.
Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. She smiled, as she tasted its
rich flavor.
She asked, "What does it mean, Father?" He explained that each of them
had faced the same adversity -- boiling water -- but each reacted
differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but
after being subjected
to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg was fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid
interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside
hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. By being in the boiling
water, they changed the water.
He asked his daughter, "When adversity knocks on your door, which are
you?"

EVERY STORM WILL END
By Bo Sanchez
Did you suffer a loss recently?
A job? A relationship? Material things stolen from you?
Many of my friends lost many things in the recent flood.
My friends lost homes. My friends lost businesses. With tears, my
auntie said, "Bo, I lost all the material things I've collected over
the past 50 years of my life!" Some friends told me that what was most
painful was loosing all their photographs—the memories of a lifetime.
Friend, I've got a message for you today: Believe that every storm
will end. And after the storm, a new morning begins.
Remember that every loss is temporary.
If you lost a loved one, that loss is temporary. In heaven, you'll see
your beloved again and your reunion will last forever.
If you lost photographs, believe that in heaven, God will give back to
you DVD copies of all the sweetest memories you've had in your life.
(I'm not sure what video version they use up there, but I'm sure it'll
be the most modern. Perhaps it'll be a virtual reality video!)
If you lost material things or opportunities or relationships, believe
that God is creating room for something better to come your way.
How will this "better" happen?
Start being grateful.
That's not a typo.
In the midst of your loss, be thankful.
I know you'll complain, "Bo, there's nothing to be thankful for! I
lost half my life!"
Well, be thankful for the other half that you still have.
Don't focus on what you lost, focus on what you still have.
You've got too many good things happening to you to be down!
Say this with me, "I'm too blessed to be stressed." (Not original from
me. Got it from a bumper sticker.)
Why be grateful?
Because you attract what you focus on. I've said that before so many
times, but I'll keep saying it until God calls me home. Because it's
so powerful.
When you become grateful, you attract more of what you're grateful
for.
Gratitude is a blessings magnet.
My Business Loss
Many years ago, I lost a lot of money in a businesses venture.
It was a big loss for me. At that time, I lost almost my entire net
worth.
I was tempted to mope, to sulk, to carry a heavy burden for a long
time.
Actually, I allowed myself to grieve for awhile—which was very
healthy.
But I decided not to grieve for too long, or I would be stuck forever.
After some time, I declared, "God has something better for me."
I chose to smile. I chose to look at the brighter side. I chose to
believe that better businesses would come my way. In fact, I began
declaring the unbelievable. I said, "I'll earn ten times what I lost!"
Later that week, a friend asked me, "Is it true that you lost a lot of
money in that business?"
I said, "Yes, I did."
"It happens to you too, huh? And I thought people like you are exempt
from these things. So why are you smiling?"
"Because I believe God is redirecting me to a better business. And I
know that I'll earn ten times what I lost."
It was a big claim and some friends couldn't understand why I was so
relaxed.
But a few years later, what I declared happened.
I started new businesses and I began to earn ten times what I lost.
What I lost—my savings for years—I earned in a few months. Today, my
new businesses are multiplying. I ask myself sometimes, "What if I
didn't fail in that business? I would still be stuck in that business!
I wouldn't have the new business that I have now."
And imagine if kept moping and sulking—would I have seen the new
opportunities around me? Imagine if I kept mourning my loss—would I
have had the energy to venture into something new?
Friend, don't focus at the problems in your life.
Don't focus on what you loss.
Instead, focus on two things: look at what you still have and look at
the new things that God will give you.
And be grateful.
AUTO FERRY
By Marion Smith
John 1:51 Jesus said..”I tell you- you shall see heaven opened”
Once, when I was in Quebec, Canada, I watched the auto
ferry travel back and forth across the St. Laurent River .The boat
arrived at the dock near our hotel, drop the ramp, and cars would load
on.
While on the ferry, people had an opportunity to get out
of their cars or stay inside. I noticed that some folks mingled with
others in a friendly manner. Others just sat in their car for the
journey, reading or perhaps contemplating the day ahead. Some entire
families got out of their car, and stayed close together. When all
these folks arrived on the other side- their destination- the boat
jockeyed into position, perfectly aligned for the cars to disembark.
God is my auto ferry. All I had to do to come aboard was to believe
Jesus as God’s son and accept Him as my Savior. I do not need to worry
about my destination- for He will take me to the other side ..to my
final destination which is heaven. The question is- how do I spend my
time on board? That would be the time which God has given me before I
reach my eternal resting spot. Am I very social- spreading Gods’ love
and His joy wherever I go? Do I stay isolated, reading God’s Word and
filling myself with spiritual food? Or,do I spend that time only with
my family- in a cocoon of security? I believe it is a balance of all
three to which God calls me.
I am thankful I have boarded Gods’ ferry. Are you on board, too?
Aren't we blessed to know where His boat will dock- and where our
final destination is located.
Closing Prayer:
Prayer For Inner Healing
Lord Jesus, You came to heal our wounded and troubled hears. I beg You to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart; I beg You, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin. I beg You to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my early years and form the injuries that they caused throughout my life. Lord Jesus, You know my burdens. I lay them all on Your Good Shepherd's Heart. I beseech You -- by the merits of the great, open wound in Your heart -- to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my own heart.
Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble.
Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me. Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that You are the Resurrection and the Life. Make me an authentic witness to your Resurrection, Your victory over sin and death, Your living presence among us. Amen.
Wishing you all a Good Night and Sweet Dreams! Peace of the Lord be with you all night and all your days!
Let us all wish our computers the best of health, as well as ourselves!!
God bless you all!
