Hello my friends! Okay - bold print - this time hoping I can get those paragraphs in - all so it's easier to read. Today is just an ordinary day - did get a text from Darla last night though that she's fine, it was the flu, her students were presenting last night so that was good news. Got some 5 pounds of Guatemala coffee this morning from Lori, she gets it from her neighbor, so spent some time grinding it up. We don't usually grind it ahead of time, but it's easier this way so I wanted to do it. Took the grinders off the counter which makes more room now. I'm all for more room on the counters. Hoping you all are having a blessed day today - and can count your blessings! Praying for all of you! Thanks for praying for Darla!
Wait patiently for God to answer Your prayers. He has patiently waited for
you to ask.
Lord, Your promises are everlasting and I will always receive what I need
when the time
is right.

"This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in
it." ~Psalm 118:24
M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
Many of us have had to live through the dark part of our lives, the
time of failure, the nighttime of our lives, when we were full of
struggle and care, worry and remorse, when we felt deeply the tragedy
of life. But with our daily surrender to God comes a peace and joy
that makes all things new. We can now take each day as a joyous
sunrise-gift from God to use for God and for other people. The night
of the past is gone. This day is ours.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may take this day as a gift form God. I pray that I may
think God for this day and be glad in it.
Jesus and the Mud Puddle,, please read
A great story..........
Howard County Sheriff Jerry Marr got a disturbing call one Saturday
afternoon a few months ago. His 6-year-old grandson Mikey had been hit by a
car while fishing in Greentown with his dad. The father and son were near a
bridge by the Kokomo Reservoir when a woman lost control of her car, slid
off the bridge and hit Mikey at a rate of about 50 mph.
Sheriff Marr had seen the results of accidents like this and feared the
worst. When he got to Saint Joseph Hospital, he rushed through the emergency
room to find Mikey conscious and in fairly good spirits.
"Mikey, what happened?" Sheriff Marr asked.
Mikey replied, "Well, Papaw, I was fishin' with Dad, and some lady runned me
over, I flew into a mud puddle, and broke my fishin' pole and I didn't get
to catch no fish!"
As it turned out, the impact propelled Mikey about 500 feet, over a few
trees and an embankment and in the middle of a mud puddle. His only injuries
were to his right femur bone which had broken in two places. Mikey had
surgery to place pins in his leg. Otherwise the boy is fine.
Since all the boy could talk about was that his fishing pole was broken, the
Sheriff went out to Wal-mart and bought him a new one while he was in
surgery so he could have it when he came out.
The next day the Sheriff sat with Mikey to keep him company in the hospital.
Mikey was enjoying his new fishing pole and talked about when he could go
fishing again as he cast into the trash can. When they were alone, Mikey,
just a matter-of-fact, said, "Papaw, did you know Jesus is real?"
Well," the Sheriff replied, a little startled. "Yes, Jesus is real to all
who believe in him and love him in their hearts."
"No," said Mikey. "I mean Jesus is REALLY real."
"What do you mean?" asked the Sheriff.
"I know he's real 'cause I saw him." said Mikey, still casting in to the
trash can.
"You did?" said the Sheriff.
"Yep," said Mikey. "When that lady runned me over and broke my fishing pole,
Jesus caught me in his arms and laid me down in the mud puddle
A Prayer when feeling low
Loving Lord Jesus,
whose hands are underneath our lowest feelings
to support us as we rest in you.
Hold me in this dark place
and sustain my life with your hope.
Let the light of your love warm my heart,
and your Holy Spirit, the comforter,
be with me to lift me up.
Amen.
Dear Lord,
Our relationship with you is usually like this:
Just another day for me - plenty of things to do
Go to work, come home late, nothing really new
Sat in bed put my head to rest grabbed my mobile phone
About to call my girlfriend now to tell her I loved her so
But before I had the chance to phone I received an incoming call
I had to look twice at the Caller ID to see if I was sure
It was a friend of mine his name was John an odd call at this time
We haven´t spoken for years, busy I guess, we're all guilty of this crime
What does he want? I thought to myself, a favor he must need
So I answered the phone and said hello, the rest I'll let you read
Minutes went by, no favor so far, maybe I could be wrong
But there it was - the favor he needs - I knew it all along
That’s the reason why he called me today - I guess we all do the same
It´s only when we need something that we look to find their name
That’s the relationship we have with God - sad but it is true
We have to change the way we think - a message for me and you.

I have never drunk coffee but I adore the smell of freshly ground.....as HARLENE pointed out. I have a very large kitchen but counter space is always at a premium, GLORIAJEAN. The stand mixer and food processor are always in a cupboard which makes it a real ordeal to drag down. The above format seems perfect to me. Very easy to read and well laid out....thanks. BLUE----do you have trouble sleeping ? You posted your beautiful graphics between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. .?

Hello ladies...Blessings to all. ""I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."" Hope you all have a good day.

You must be in agony and, on top of the pain, am I correct in my understanding that treatment options are limited ? In the last month or so, I have been waking around 4:00 a.m. Next time I am going to look for you ! Now please....go take a nap !Danky ~Aha! You noticed the time
Yes....I'm having one of the worst flair ups with psoriasis that I've had in quite some time....waiting for my appointment with my dermatologist next week and just praying I can last that long. I've actually been up since 1:30 this morning, just couldn't lay there any longer. I was really hoping no one would notice the time I posted, as some maybe thinking.....why on earth is she posting at that time of the morning. But, at least my post caught your attention
Well worth it, I'd say!
Blessings to all here!

Hello everyone,
Gloriajean, glad to hear that Darla is feeling better. How's Linus feeling? I also like bold print. Remember PatF she always like bold print. If I recall she said it was easier on her eyes. I believe that is when I started using the bold print.
Let Us Worship Him
I love to watch the Christmas lights
Glistening on the tree,
Remembering why God sent His Son
To die for you and me.
Let's forgo the endless shopping
And focus on His birth;
Jesus came to bring salvation
To a sinful, fallen earth.
This Christmas let us worship Him
And spend our time in prayer,
Offering God our thankfulness
For His protection and His care.
May God's presence fill your heart with love
And cast out every fear.
May you have a blessed Christmas
And a peaceful, safe New Year.
Valerie Rousseau
Keeping all in my prayers. Thank you for yours! Until next time...
Take care, stay safe, and God bless.

May the Lord provide peace and blessings.

Blue - thanks for your early morning graphics! Beautiful. I have a friend I've known for many years who has psoriasis in her legs, so sore! Is there a cure at all? Nothing seems to help her. By now you must be sleeping - getting your lost sleep back!
Harlene - Recipes sent. Enjoy! Especially the aroma from your kitchen!
Danky - Glad you look forward to reading the thread each morning - and find some good food for thought! That's why I do it! I do what I can, and God does the rest! Did you see that I posted my email address - Email me when you can for the bread recipe. Thanks for your feedback on the new format. Hope I can keep it going like this. The other way was unacceptable and I just didn't know what to do, so had to try things out yesterday and really mess up the thread, but now I've got it, I hope!!!
Bobbiesue - blessings to you! May you have a very wonderful and blessed day!
Juanita - Linus is getting better - Praise the Lord! Physical Therapy twice now and exercises seems to help, he has another appt. a week from Friday so that's three appointments before we leave for our trip! I do remember Patf. Wish she'd come back again! Didn't remember about the bold print though. Now - how do I get the font bigger? Or is this the only way it comes. What a nice poem you sent us!
Lucy - Glad you stopped by, good graphic - how true!
Here's the Advent Message for today:
‎12-03-2014 07:05 PM
Hi Everyone!
Juanita: So nice to see your post! I hope we can catch up one of these days!
Gloria: Good to hear Darla is feeling better. I hope you'll post or email the bread recipe one day. It sounded so good. I love hearty breads especially with soups . Especially good in the cold or rainy weather.
BlueGrassbaby: What beautiful pictures you and Lucy have posted. My DH has psoriasis too, so I understand some of what you go through with it. He gets some cream from his doctor that seems to help sometimes, but it's too small of an amount to cover everything if it gets ahead of him. I mentioned several times to him about checking into biologics to help, but he's too nervous about the side effects.
Danky and Bobbiesue: Hope you're doing well, and getting in the spirit of the holidays.
A big hi to anyone I missed! Not intentional I promise.
I never did get online at all yesterday, so I've tried to get caught up today. I went out early starting off with errands nearby, and got home about mid afternoon after driving to the mall area and other shopping. It really was a nice sunny day when I left, then it snowed on the way home. Shortly after arriving home, it sleeted and rained. I went to Sam's Club, as well as a few other stops. I got a few gifts done, as well as some grocery we buy in bulk at Sam's. I was struggling to stay longer, but was getting too tired and sore. It was a good thing I didn't dawdle, as the roads were fine as the snow hadn't been coming down too long.
I did more work on my decorating today. It's taking me much longer than usual, but I'm trying to work within the limits of my back and other health issues. We're both loving all the lights, and homey feeling the decorations create. Even though I used to do more, I think we're liking this simplified way better. The kitties have been great with the trees so far. Will it last? Yeah..... sure it will! lol
Today I've been moving extra slowly. The trip exhausted me, as well as being very busy this past week. I look forward to slowing down for awhile, and spending time doing more gentle and quiet activities. I have to restart my stretch routine, and once the weekend comes, start walking outside. Weather permitting. Right now hunting is going on near us, and though I've heard no shots, I wouldn't take a chance of someone shooting.
Hope everyone has a good night. Hugs to all, pinky

Hi Pinky Ann! My friend also put some kind of cream on her legs too for psoriasis. She also had to wear certain stockings, if I remember right. Does that ever go away? ENJOY the bread recipes, I sent them right away when I saw your post. Sounds like you sure outdid yourself with the shopping!! Does your DH help you with that? The older I get, the simpler I like it with decorating! Now with us leaving for Texas on the 22nd leaves me with little ambition to decorate as we won't even be here for Christmas, so no tree this year and we never never had a Christmas tree! I'm sure your very well behaved kitties will be good little kitties. They won't do any harm!!! LOL Please take good care of yourself, and don't overdue!!
