Hello my friends! Today's blessings - more raspberries and beans, soon I'll be digging for carrots, and picking apples. What a blessing these all are! We went out to eat tonight for the chicken special at this restaurant where Chandra works, she's the waitress who has such a bad back, and we suggested Dr. Mike, the medical doctors weren't helping her but costing her lots of money!! She wasn't working tonight, the Hostess said she had a treatment today and thought it best to rest - and that's a good thing. Also the Hostess knew that we are the ones who suggested Dr. Mike to her so told us that she feels she's being helped!!! Praise the Lord! Also I gave the Hostess our phone number and email address so we could get in contact with her, and she texted it to her. Continue to pray for Chandra's healing - Thank you!
We are often called upon by God as His means to care for His people.
Lord, I am here to serve You and am ready to do Your work.
Scripture for the day:
"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10
Meditation for the day:
We need not become encumbered by petty annoyances. We need not respond to
emotional upsets by emotional upset. It is best for us to keep calm in all
circumstances. We need not fight back. We can call on the grace of God to
calm us when we feel like retaliating. We can look to God for the inner
strength to drop those resentments that drag us down. If we are burdened by
annoyances, we can lose our inward peace and the spirit of God can be shut
out. We can try to keep peaceful within.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may do the things that make for peace. I pray that I may have
a mission of conciliation.
May You Always Feel Loved
May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always
understand.
May the pain you have known
and the conflict you have experienced
give you the strength to walk through life
facing each new situation
with optimism and courage.
Always know that there are those
whose love and understanding will always
be there, even when you feel most alone.
May you discover enough goodness in others
to believe in a world of peace.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
a warm smile be yours every day of your life,
and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.
Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
Teach love to those who know hate, and let that love
embrace you as you go into the world.
May the teaching of those you admire
become part of you, so that you may
call upon them.
Remember, those whose lives you have touched
and who have touched yours are always a part of you,
even if the encounters were less than
you would have wished.
May you not become too concerned
with material matters, but instead place
immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see the beauty
and love in the world around you.
Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
but each of us is
different in our own way.
What you may feel you lack in one regard
may be more than compensated for
in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in
the future.
May you see your future
as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything
as a worthwhile experience.
May you find enough inner strength
to determine your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent on another's judgments
of your accomplishments.
May you always feel loved.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRENGTH AND COURAGE
Author Unkown
It takes strength to be firm.
It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard.
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide feelings.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive.
It takes courage to live.
"....as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you
nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage...." (Joshua 1:5b-6a)
Mother Teresa Said...
"Like Jesus, who submitted Himself to the common law of labor
and the common lot of the poor, we will not seek any special privileges
or treatment for ourselves, but be happy to be treated as one of the poor,
ready to be insulted, ill-treated, refused, blamed falsely,
or put into all kinds of inconveniences.
We shall not seek to defend ourselves,
but leave our defense to the Lord.
We will not worry about tomorrow
but will live the present moment intensely
with complete trust in God."

At 5pm I have to start drinking that awful drink for the colonoscopy. That is the worst of the entire procedure. I drink one half of the gallon and finish it tomorrow before the colonoscopy just want to get it over with. Never again will I go through this again. Wish me good luck.
Lovestopaint. You are right. Your address is on the card. I should have remembered you are in Pa. I hope we don't have a winter like last winter. I'm always cold and I turned up the temp last year and they raised my gas budget $30.00. I am going to dress warm and use lots of quilts and blankets to get the bill down.
I wish everyone a good day. God bless you all.

Hello To All!
Keeping all in my highest thoughts. I received a small package in the mail today. It was from a friend and it contained some nice things. I didn't expect it and it was very thoughtful of her. It was an unexpected blessing.
Here's Lucy - That is such a lovely graphic with words. Very moving to the spirit as well.
I daily give thanks to you all and this thread. I give thanks to this nation and appreciate all her blessings, beauty, allies, troops, and her citizens. This nation has a destiny. Be at peace. Know you are loved.

Harlene - thanks for praying for Chandra - I have hopes that Dr. Mike can help her a lot to be without pain without narcotics.
Bobbiesue - You are in my prayers, dear! I know you are in discomfort now - praying for you now and that your colonoscopy will be successful.
Lucy - hope you enjoyed your nice day out - it was ugly here today in MN. Cold, and rainy and even windy. I about froze my fingers picking raspberries - thought the beans can wait. Wonderful Graphics as usual. Facebook has lots of great ones to use.
Love Roses - That had to warm your heart receiving a package in the mail today, especially not expected - what a nice blessing. It reminds me what Carolina who used to post here sent me a surprise package when I was going thru a dark time - it was a beautiful gold Rosary that her son bought when he was in Fatima and it was for me!!! I love it!! It sure warmed my heart!
I daily also give thanks for this thread and our nation where we live is a great blessing.
Praying for you!
