Greetings my friends! I am having a very Happy Birthday indeed! Pancakes for breakfast made by Linus - then we went to the noon Mass - followed by a restaurant where I got a free meal - ribs and mashed potatoes! Birthday wishes, and birthday calls, and Lori is picking me up in about an hour for pedicures!! I'll wear my sandals for the first time this season now. Linus is gone to work now for his 4 hours and then after 8 we'll have a salad. It's windy but not cold out! Another blessing - we had enough ribs to take home for another meal! At my new age of 74, I love life - I'm so happy I feel stronger now - really looking forward to my Mother/Daughter time again with pedicures! I think we may go to that place again where they give you free wine with your pedicure! May you all enjoy life - it's a God-given Gift! Lots of ups and downs, but God is always with us. He says "Be Not Afraid". It's mentioned 365 times in the BIBLE - once for every day of the year! Thanks all for the birthday wishes, and remember you all are in my prayers for your needs - God knows exactly what they are.

Meditation for the day:
It is not possible for us to fully understand the universe. The simple fact
is that we cannot even define space or time. They are both boundless, in
spite of all we can do to try to limit them. We can never know all things,
nor are we made to know them. Much of our lives must be taken on faith.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that my faith may be based on my own experience of the power of God
in my life. I pray that I may know this one thing above all else.

O Lord Jesus, like Saint Paul, may I count everything as loss in comparison
with the supreme advantage of knowing you. I want to know you and what your
passion and resurrection can do. I also want to share in your sufferings in
the hope that if I resemble you in death I may somehow attain to the
resurrection from the dead. Give me grace to make every effort to supplement
faith with moral courage, knowledge with self-control, self-control with
patience, patience with piety, piety with brotherly affection, and brotherly
affection with love. May these virtues keep me both active and fruitful and
bring me to the deep knowledge of you, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Spring is like a Resurrection.
When nature rises to perfection.
And suddenly the frozen earth,
Presents us with a glorious birth.
