Avoid using the words 'If only...' and 'I should have...'. These can
destroy
your peace of mind and even your health. Lord, help me to stop punishing
myself for past mistakes and live in the peace of the present.
Scripture for the day:
"So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will
find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who
asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who
knocks, the door will be opened." ~Luke 11:9-10
Meditation for the day:
"Behold, I shall stand at the door and knock. If any person hear my
voice and open the door, I will come in and remain with that person
and that person with me." The knocking of God's spirit, asking God to
come into our lives, is due to no merit of ours, though it is in
response to the longing of our hearts. We can keep a listening ear,
an ear bent to catch the sound of the gentle knocking at the door of
our heart by the spirit of God. Then we can open the door of our
hearts and let God's spirit come in.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may let God's spirit come into my heart. I pray that it
may fill me with an abiding peace.
Hello my friends! Hope everyone has had a great Memorial day weekend - being
my classmate, Angie is with me for a week now, it's been wonderful today and
will continue to be fun all week. We ate at the deli at the Good Earth
Co-op - and it was good and interesting and filling. Did some grocery
shopping there, bought some dark chocolate and that's always positive! When
Linus got home from work, he made barbequed chicken on the grill, and I made
hash browns, a good salad and that was a good filling supper - so we'll play
it by heart what we'll do tomorrow. Not much to say tonight - so I'll get
the rest out.
Prayer For The Future
Lord, open our heart to receive Your Holy Spirit.
Teach us to await His coming, just as You did for Mary on the day of the
Annunciation, and again on Pentecost - the birthday of the Church - when she was transformed into our Mother.
Show the new generation that Your Son Jesus Christ remains always and
forever the one and only Savior of the world.
Help us proclaim in a loud and bold voice that He is "the way, the truth and
the life."
The way that leads us to our final destiny.
The truth that illuminates our passage through the darkness of life and the
world.
The life that enriches us with profound peace.
Allow Your disciples, at the dawn of the third millennium, to speed up their
steps towards obeying Your command to be "one" in unity with the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit. May we approach the Lord, united, radiant with His
light, without somber faces, so that the whole world may know and recognize
Jesus Christ living in His disciples.

IT'S ONLY A QUARTER!
Author Unknown
October 20, 2009
Several years ago a preacher moved to Houston, Texas. Some weeks after
he arrived, he had occasion to ride the bus from his home to the
downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had
accidentally given him a quarter too much change.
As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, you better give
the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it. Then he thought, "Oh,
forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little
amount? Anyway the bus company already gets too much fare; they will
never miss it. Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet."
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed
the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much
change."
The driver with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in
town? I have been thinking lately about going to worship somewhere. I
just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change."
When my friend stepped off the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest
light pole, and held on, and said, "O God, I almost sold your Son for
a quarter."
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read.
"Life"
By Bl. Mother Teresa
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is costly, care for it.
Life is wealth, keep it.
Life is love, enjoy it.
Life is mystery, know it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.
BEATITUDES OF MARRIAGE
Author Unknown
May 28, 2012
Blessed are the husband and wife who continue to be affectionate,
considerate, and loving after the wedding bells have ceased ringing.
Blessed are the husband and wife who are as polite and courteous to
one another as they are to their friends.
Blessed are they who love their mates more than any other person in
the world, and who joyfully fulfill their marriage vow of a lifetime
of fidelity and mutual helpfulness to one another.
Blessed are they who attain parenthood, for children are a heritage
of the Lord.
Blessed are they who remember to thank God for their food before they
partake of it, and who set apart some time each day for the reading of
the Bible and for prayer.
Blessed are those mates who never speak loudly to one another, and
who make their home a place "where seldom is heard a discouraging
word."
Blessed are the husband and wife who faithfully attend the worship
service of the church, and who work together in the church for the
advancement of Christ's kingdom.
Blessed are the husband and wife who can work out the problems of
adjustment without interference from relatives.
Blessed is the couple which has complete understanding about
financial matters, and have worked out a perfect partnership, with all
money under the control of both.
Blessed are the husband and wife who humbly dedicate their lives and
their homes to Christ, and who practice the teachings of Christ in the
home by being unselfish, loyal and loving.

vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.

AS YOU GO THROUGH LIFE........
Set your own pace........When someone is pushing you, it's ok to tell them
they're pushing.
Take nothing for granted........Watch water flow, the corn grow, the leaves
blow, your neighbors mow.
Allow yourself time to be lazy and unproductive........Rest isn't a luxury,
it's a necessity.
Listen to the wind blow........It carries a message of yesterday and
tomorrow........And now.........Now counts.
Rest on your laurels........They bring comfort whatever their size, age or
condition.
Talk slower. Talk less. Don't talk. Communication isn't measured by words.
Give yourself permission to be late sometimes........Life is for living, not
scheduling.
Listen to the song of a bird........The complete song. Music and nature are
gifts, but only if you are willing to receive them.
Slow down. God is still in heaven........You are not responsible for doing
it all...yourself... right now.
Remember a happy, peaceful time in your past........Rest there. Each moment
has a richness that takes a lifetime to savor.
Quit planning how you're going to use what you know, learn or
possess........God's gifts just are. Be grateful and their purpose will be
clear.
When you walk with someone, don't think about what you'll say
next........Thoughts will spring up naturally if you let them.
Talk and play with children........It will bring out the unhurried little
person inside you.
Create a place in your home...At your work....in your heart...where you can
go for quiet and recollection. You deserve it.
Take time to think........Action is good and necessary, but it's fruitful
only if we muse, ponder and mull.
Make time for play........The things you like to do. Whatever your age, your
inner child needs re-creation.
Watch and listen to the night sky........It speaks.
Listen to the words you speak........Especially in prayer.
Learn to stand back and let others take their turn as leaders........ There
will always be new opportunities for you to step out in front again.
Divide big jobs into little jobs........If God took six days to create the
universe, can you do any better?
Direct your life with purposeful choices, not with speed and
efficiency........The best musician is one who plays with expression and
meaning, not the one who finishes first.
Take a day off alone........Make a retreat. You can learn from monks and
hermits without becoming one.
Pet a furry friend........You will give and get the gift of now.
Work with your hands........It frees the mind.
Take time to wonder........Without wonder, life is merely an existence.
Sit in the dark........It will treat you to see and hear, taste and smell.
Once in awhile........Turn down the lights, The throttle, The invitations.
Less really can be more.
Let go........Nothing is usually the hardest thing to do...but often it is
the best.
Taste your food........God gave it to delight as well as nourish.
Notice the sun and the moon as they rise and set........They are remarkable
for their steady pattern of movement, not their speed.
And as you ramble on thru life my dearest friend........Keep your eye upon
the doughnut, and not upon the hole.
"AND SLOWLY COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS ONE AT A TIME"
Consoling Thoughts
(For times of loneliness)
Dear Lord!
Make me remember,
when the world seems cold and dreary
and I know not where to turn for comfort,
that there is always one spot bright and cheerful----the Sanctuary.
When I am in desolation of spirit,
when all who are dear to me have passed away
like summer flowers and none are left to love me and care for me,
whisper to my troubled soul
that there is one Friend who dies not
----one whose Love never changes----
Jesus on the altar.
When sorrow thicken and crush me with their burden,
when I look in vain for comfort,
let me remember Your words:
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily
burdened, and I will refresh you."
GOD IS LOVE
Though He sends us pain or depths of sorrow,
And there seems but darkness for the morrow,
God is Love
When the tempter goads with fear and terror,
full with horror,
God is Love
When His Word and promises seem veiled,
And our faith, our deeds and love have failed,
God is Love
When we sin and grieve His loving heart,
But repent, He will not from us part;
God is Love
When He sends us tragedy and death,
And we struggle with our final breath,
God is Love
When we stand before Him, saved by grace,
We shall sing in Heaven through endless days:
Face - To - Face
God is Love
Dear Sweet Jesus,
Walk with me today and grant that I may hear your footsteps and gladly
follow where they lead.
Talk with me today and grant that I may hear your tender voice and quicken
to its counsel.
Stay with me today and grant that I may feel your gentle presence in all I
do, say and think.
Be my strength when I weaken, my courage when I fear.
Help me to know that it is your hand holding mine through all the hours of
this day...
Amen.
May God fill your Tuesday with His many blessings!
