Worry about nothing, pray for everything, and thank God for His answers. Lord, I ask You to handle my problems with me and care for my needs.
Scripture for the Day
"'When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. "Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." — Matthew 6:7-15
Meditation for the Day
Prayer is of many kinds, but of whatever kind, prayer is the linking up of the soul and mind to God. So, if prayer is only a glance of faith, a look or a word of love, or just a feeling of confidence in the goodness and purpose in the universe, still the result of that prayer is added strength to meet all temptations and to overcome them. Even if no supplication is expressed, all the supply of strength that is necessary is secured, because the soul, being linked and united to God, receives from God all spiritual help needed. The soul, when in its human body, still needs the things belonging to its heavenly habitation.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may be taught how to pray. I pray that I may be linked through prayer to the mind and will of God.

He Came to Save Us , Not to Condemn Us!
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Acts 5:17-26 / Jn 3:16-21
It’s a standing joke that many housewives expend considerable efforts at cleaning their houses before the hired cleaners come. And any physician will tell you that their patients regularly withhold unflattering parts of the truth about their lifestyles because they’re ashamed or embarrassed. In both cases, we’re being pretty foolish, acting as if the cleaning person or the doctor had any other agenda except to help us and to make our lives better.
Foolish, indeed, but worse yet, it’s exactly what we so often do with God, wishing we could hide things from him because we just know he’ll be angry and want punish us. We couldn’t be farther from the truth. As Jesus said in today’s gospel, “God didn’t send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save it.” And unlike us, God never wavers in his commitments. He is always the same, yesterday, today, and forever. And even on our worst days, his desire is to help us find life.
Trust him. Trust the depth and breadth of his fatherly love for you. And work with him. He will give you life!
Gifts For Us
Blessed indeed is every soul who lived during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, for we received his love, wisdom and guidance, and now we reap the benefits of his intercession from Heaven.
— from John Paul II: We Love You!
Marian Antiphon of Saint Francis of Assisi
Holy Virgin Mary, among women, there is no one like you born into the world: you are the daughter and the servant of the Most High and Supreme King and Father of heaven, you are the mother of our Most Holy Lord Jesus Christ, you are the spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Pray for us with Saint Michael the Archangel and all the powers of the heavens and all the saints to your most holy beloved Son, the Lord and Master.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Permit us, O Jesus,
to dedicate to you each member of our family.
Accept each one of us,
and may every beat of our hearts
be an act of love for you.
By the power of your Blood,
may we be strengthened
and sustained in our daily difficulties.
May we be a sign, to each other
and to all with whom we come in contact,
of your life in us.
Bless our home, dear Jesus.
Bless our joys and sufferings.
Bless every moment of our lives
and especially the moment of our death.
After living for the glory of your Blood on earth,
may we have the joy of praising you eternally in heaven.
Amen.
A preacher in a rural church was giving a special service because of a severe local drought. He began by saying, "You have all come here today to pray for rain. I have just one question for you: Where are your umbrellas?"
This depicts the way most of us pray for things. With a vague kind of hope, we say, "I hope the Lord will cure me of cancer," or "I hope the Lord will straighten out this unhappy marriage." "I hope the Lord will get my son off drugs, help me solve my financial problems and give me the job I want." Often we don't really expect it to happen. Without expectant faith, our spiritual life can be presumed to be at the kindergarten level.
While many people feel they have great faith, it is usually less than mountain-moving. Others admit their weakness in faith but still "leave their umbrellas at home."

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need.
Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say a prayer.
Father, God please bless all my family members, relatives, friends & loved ones in whatever they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of your love, peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
Then send it on. In no time you will cause people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life Amen.

Hello my dear friends! Hope your day went well. Are you have nice days now? It's getting more bearable here now. My blessings for today would be the sunshine - always love that, and Lori invited us for supper tonight, and she and Linus made plans for her yard - landscaping etc. and it will look lovely. Sammy went along - he loves it at Lori's.
Another blessing was that my thread today at VP didn't get poofed, yesterday three of them got poofed! Oh well..try again. The reason I post some things there from the list is that a lot of posters don't come this board and do appreciate seeing it there. This thread started there and lasted a year until things got more nasty and I moved it here.
I am so blessed to have all of you for my dear friends!!
Good night now and God Bless you all!! Sweet Dreams and may you have a very blessed Thursday!! ~
