Hello my friends! Hope your day is going well. It's been somewhat better today with our temps, for a change, it's a bit warmer, and for that we are very thankful! May I ask for a prayer for Lori - she has come down with a chest cold, it seems, and hope that leaves her as fast as it came, for her surgery this weekend. Today's blessings for me was communicating with a friend by email, which is always a blessing. I'll greet you here from her - her name was Pinky Ann here on the boards. She hardly goes to the boards anymore at all. We keep in touch. She used to be a regular here on the thread. She's doing alright, keeping busy doing projects in the house. And Yah! Linus has an appointment tomorrow at a Parish that wants Lighthouse! Praise God! Thanks, friends for your prayers, and know that you all are in my prayers daily!
Love people so much that you will do all that you can to lessen their human
sorrows. Lord, You have shown Your love for me. May I now radiate
Your presence to others.

"A lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him. 'Teacher, which commandment
in the law is the greatest?' He said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your
God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You
shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all
the law and the prophets." ~Matthew 22:35-40

God has a plan for the world we live in. God's design for the world is a
universal fellowship of men and women, guided by God. The plan for our
lives is also in the mind of God. In times of quiet meditation we can seek
God's guidance, for the revealing of God's plan for our day. Then we can
live this day according to God's guidance. Many of us are not making of our
lives what God means them to be, and so we are unhappy. We can miss the
God's plan for our lives.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may try to follow God's design for today. I pray that I may
live my life today consistent with God's plan.

WANNA BE A PUMPKIN?
Author Unknown
A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from
the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he
cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the
seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves you a new
smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to
see."
This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to
pass it to a pumpkin. I liked this enough to send it to all the
pumpkins in my patch.

PUMPKINS & JESUS
P is for the People that Jesus came to save
U is for the Unconditional love to each one He gave
M is for the Message that we should all be sharing
P is for the Priceless gift God above showed he is caring
K is for the King of Kings
I is for the Insight He brings
N is for the Nails in His hands
S is for our Savior who gave His life so that we could stand.
So when you see a pumpkin don't think about some guy named Jack.
Instead remember Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords, who is one day coming
back.
A Scriptural Morning Prayer
Praise and honor to You, O' Blessed Trinity: Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit!
Praise, Honor, and Adoration!
Be exalted, O' God of Gods!
O' King of Kings! O' Holy One! O' Mighty One! O' God of all Mercies and of
Love beyond comprehension!
I entrust to you my life.
This day I lay before you all my circumstances and all that I encounter.
"A man's heart plans out his way, but it is the Lord who makes his steps
secure." (Prov. 16:9}
Lord, order this day so it will give you glory and be in keeping with your
holy will for me.
For Jesus came to do the will of His Father and to give you glory. (Jn.
6:38)
I pray not only for myself, but also for all whom you have given me to love,
especially ____________.
Pour into our hearts, O' Lord, for the oil of gladness and clothe us in a
garment of praise (Is. 61:3) that we may rejoice in you all day and give you
a sacrifice of praise (Jer. 17:26) in all the circumstances.
I thank you and praise you, my Lord, for the truth that sets us free. (Jn.
8:32) Do not let me/us be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the
renewing of our minds. (Rom. 12:1,2 Eph. 4:23,24) Ground me/us in your truth
and establish me/us on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Reveal to me the hidden
stones and idols of my heart (Ez. 36:25-27) that I may repent and return to
you with all of my heart. (Ps. 51) I pray for humility to believe as Mary
did that the promises spoken to her would be fulfilled; (Lk. 1:45) and the
interior gifts to ponder as she did the action of God in all circumstances.
(Lk. 2:19) I pray also for the readiness to respond quickly as Joseph and
Mary did to the lead and promptings of the Holy Spirit. (Mt. 1:24; 2:14)
Thank you, Father God, for the love of the Holy Spirit that is poured into
our hearts in Christ Jesus. A love that builds us up in hope, a hope that
does not disappoint. (Rm. 5:5) I pray for that peace that surpasses all
understanding; your peace that binds us together in love and preserves the
unity of the Spirit. (Eph. 4:3) Cause me to walk in that peace each day.
"You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee..." (Is.
26:3)
Each morning awaken me to listen as a disciple. Grant me an attentive ear to
listen in sincerity and integrity of heart, to follow you faithfully. Lead
me into deep worship and daily study of your Word.
I pray for a disciple's tongue. Cause me to know how to reply to the
wearied. Put a guard at my mouth to speak as a godly woman/man, to speak
that which will edify and encourage, to speak the truth in love. (Js. 1:26,
Prov. 10:11+;13:3, Si. 28:14)
Thank you Jesus, that I may come before you, united in intercession to and
with Mary, Joseph, and all the heavenly community, particularly St.
____________. I present to you, my God, all my needs and those of my family,
friends, all You have given me to love. Wash us in the precious tide of your
mercy, the blood and life giving waters that flow from the pierced side of
Jesus. (Zc. 13:1) Cause us to rely on your armor (Eph. 6:10-18) that we may
be able to stand firm, united in faith (Phil. 1:27,28; Heb. 4:14) and not
falter in times of hardship. For in due season we will see the victory of
our God and will have a testimony of praise, to give Him glory and to defeat
the works of the enemy. (Rev. 12:11) Encircle us, O' God, with your
protection. (Ps. 3:3) St. Michael the archangel, defend us in the day of
battle.
I present to You, O' Lord, the needs of the whole Church; the Holy Father,
Pope Francis; my diocese, parish, and all pastors and laborers in your
kingdom. I further entrust to you the needs of my neighborhood, city, and
nation; as well as the nations of the world. Cause those in leadership to
exercise it in a godly manner. (1 Tim. 2:1) I pray especially for
____________.
In the name of Jesus, I pray for a renewal of the Holy Spirit--His fountain
of life giving water, to spring up within, and a release of His fire, His
gifts, and the evidence of His fruits within me and the lives of all for
whom I pray.
Praise, Glory, and Adoration be unto You, O' Lord of Lords!
Amen! Amen! Amen!
Prayer to Redeem Lost Time
O my God! Source of all mercy! I acknowledge Your sovereign power. While
recalling the wasted years that are past, I believe that You, Lord, can in
an instant turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am, yet I firmly believe
that You can do all things. Please restore to me the time lost, giving me
Your grace, both now and in the future, that I may appear before You in
"wedding garments." Amen.

Good morning everyone,
Prayers being lifted up to Our Father, for Lori, Bobbisue, and Linus.
"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17
Gloriajean, it's always a blessing when we hear from friends. Carolina, and Pinky Ann, bring back so many good memories from the past. Recently I heard from Catlover4ever, Lucky4 and Onthebay. Always brings warmth to my heart to hear from others.
Angela, nice to hear from you. May God bless you always with His love.
I often think of those in the past and when I do, I lift them up in prayers, and hope things are going well.
RazzleBedazzle, Jane5511, Patf, Maltese Babies, Twinnie, Linda-in-MN, Oceanjade, Merle, Wondermom, Mama yall, Baby Huey, Go2girl, Cakers, Hilo, Stosh, Pepperlady...just a few who I remember.
Father, thank You, for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to be my Savior and the greatest friend of all. Thank you for loving us. May this love compel us to show our love to others. Thank you Lord, for our old friends and all of our new friends. In Jesus' name Amen.
Our temp is a little warmer, but still in the teens this morning. My blessing heard from my MIL and I will go and visit with her tomorrow. And the gas station/store, the owner asked if I could work a couple Saturdays, and that is quite a blessing, can always use the money.
Serenity4ever, thank you for your kind words. May God bless you always with His love.
May God give everyone who posts, or just reads, peace, hope, and comfort. Until next time...
Take Care and God Bless!

Bobbiesue - I'm so glad you are feeling better - and hope your Drs. appointment will be what you need to get rid of it for good!
serenity - thanks much for your prayers for Lori - and Bobbiesue - Lori actually took the afternoon off to go home to rest. Still has her cough.
Juanita - Boy! I haven't heard from Bev in ages - since she got married! How is she? I'll have to write Carmela and Carole again soon. Those nics you brought up sure brought back good memories of these wonderful posters who used to post on this thread. Wouldn't it be nice if they came back again?
