Stay close to God because He is the solution to all problems. Lord, I will
live in Your presence, protected by You and Your peace will be mine.

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and
I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28
M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and
I will give you rest." For rest from the cares of life, we can turn to
God each day in prayer and communion. Real relaxation and serenity come
from a deep sense of the fundamental goodness of the universe. God's
everlasting arms are underneath all and can support us. We can commune
with God, not so much for petitions to be granted as for the rest that
comes from our relying on God's will and God's purposes for our lives.
We can be sure of God's strength available to us, and conscious of God's
support. We can wait quietly until that true rest from God fills our
being.

I pray that I may be conscious of God's support today. I pray that I
may rest safe and sure therein.
Greetings my friends! Hope you all had a good day today - Sure is cooler out
and windy! Went to Mass at 8, right after to the chiro, and I sure needed
that adjustment, then I rested. Made spagetti for supper - today was the
first day of Linus' 4 day week in a row - hope it won't be too much for him.
Called Sr. LaDonna tonight to see how things are with her, as she's moving
to the Motherhouse Oct. 1st., then on the 6th, going on her trip to
Medjudgorje, which she's sure looking forward to. Sure glad the freezing is
finished now - and I don't have to chop anymore. That sure was hard on my
upper back. Hope you all have a good, positive and ordinary day tomorrow,
with ordinary blessings all over!

Have You Put Yourself Outside the Circle of Fools and Sinners?
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Eph 4:1-7 / Mt 9:9-13
Self-knowledge is a hard-won treasure, and even the best of us are blind to
much of what our friends see clearly. Too often we blithely give convoluted
explanations of our actions and intentions which convince no one but
ourselves. Fictions like “I was just resting my eyes during the third act,”
make us feel fine, but fool no one.
The self-deception may reach far deeper. We may well end up like the
pharisees in today’s gospel, who clearly thought they were sinless and
needful of no forgiveness, and therefore seemed apt critics of Jesus’
decision to consort with sinners. What they said sounds foolish and the
height of arrogance, and indeed it was. But we do the same thing whenever we
put ourselves outside the circle of the world’s fools and sinners by
ridiculing or denouncing them.
If we were forced to depend solely on our lifetime record, unamended and
uncleansed by any unearned forgiveness, we would all be doomed – without
exception. We are all in trouble if left to our own devices. God gives His
forgiveness freely; but there is no earning it. He asks but one thing in
return, that we extend forgiveness with equal abandon to one another.
If you want to be forgiven, learn first to forgive.
Mother Teresa Said...
"True obedience is a genuine act of love.
Obedience makes us practice the other virtues.
It likens us to martyrs,
for it is a much greater martyrdom to persevere
in obedience all through life
than to die in a moment by a stroke of the sword."
Right Now
What is wrong with right now? Nothing. Are there things you would like to
change? Of course. The beauty of right now is that it gives you a place to
start and the wisdom of knowing where to go.
There is nothing wrong with right now. It is a magnificent point in time.
Any problems you sense with this moment are based on your own
interpretation. Nothing is wrong unless you choose to make it so.
Choose instead to see and to live the rightness and the goodness of this
moment. Transcend the petty concerns which have held you back in the past.
Free yourself to live at your best.
Drink in the beauty and energy of right now. A world of possibilities
stretches out in front of you. They all begin right now. Life is already
filled with abundance, and right now is your chance to make it even better.
~ Ralph Marston
Invite Jesus In
A family is a small kingdom, and any kingdom can have only one king. We need
to make sure that Jesus is the one seated on the throne in our homes. That
starts by making sure that he is enthroned in our hearts, for he is the
benevolent King who only rules when invited.

Make Me A TV
A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write an essay about what
they would like God to do for them...
At the end of the day, while marking the essays, she read one that made her
very emotional.
Her husband, who had just walked in, saw her crying and asked her:- 'What
happened?'
She answered- 'Read this. It is one of my students' essay.
''Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special :
Make me into a television. I want to take its place and live like the TV in
my house.
Have my own special place, And have my family around ME.
To be taken seriously when I talk....
I want to be the center of attention and be heard without interruptions or
questions.
I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives even when it is
not working.
Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is
tired.
And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring
me...
And... I want my brothers to fight to be with me...
I want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and then,
just to spend some time with me. And last but not least, ensure that I can
make them
all happy and entertain them... Lord I don't ask you for much... I just want
to live like a TV.'
At that moment the husband said :-
'My God, poor kid. What horrible parents!' The wife looked up at him and
said:-
'That essay is our son's !!!
Hope
We who have fled to take hold of the hope offered
to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope
as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
Hebrews 6: 18-19
Without hope, you may feel as if you're being swept along by
chaotic currents, unable to grasp anything solid. God wants
you to know that He is about to reach you, lift you up, and
set your feet on the firm ground of His Word and His promises.
Though He might not reveal to you the reasons behind your
current circumstances. He invites you to place your hope in Him,
holding firmly and securely to the certainty of His love and
care for you.
No One Whose Hope Is In You Will Ever Be Put To Shame. Psalm 25:3
God has given us His promises in order to provide sure footing
in a tumultuous world. He knew we wouldn't be helped by
promises filled with ambiguity and double talk, so He gives it
to us straight. Put your hope in Me, He says, and you won't be
disappointed. No one will call you a fool----not after they see
your God working on your behalf. Placing your hope in Him is
a no risk proposition, because He will never fail you.
A Morning Prayer
I thank You, God, for this new day,
Another chance to do Your way.
I pray You, God, to so teach me,
That, childlike, I may humble be.
When comes the night may I then say:
"I know I walked with God today."
