Hello To All!

Gloria, you sure keep busy with your visitors and get togethers with friends. As always, your dinners/lunches sound so good. Over on another Forum, someone wrote asking about a Dump Cake and some posters gave out their recipes. I've never made one but it's good sounding for sure. Prayer for the Day is a wonderful 'vitamin' of sort.

Asking for your Assistance/Prayer - Elaine for her hip replacement surgery. She's alone with no children and lives by herself. Skip - He needs lots of prayer for his lack of social skills which he is afraid to develop and cultivate because he has such a large massive ego. He holds those that he sees as weaker (because they believe there is a Creator) to blame for his personal and worldly ills. Lastly, for me as I have a surgery schedules for next month. I have a skilled surgeon and I trust his talents, it's the recovery that I am going to have to face.

I have many blessings and so many opportunities to learn from life and all it's blessings. I am grateful for that as well as this nation, her allies, her citizens, her troops, liberties, privileges, freedoms. This thread is a wonderful daily blessing as well. Be at peace, know you are loved.

LOVE ROSES......your post says alot about you. Every other person gets prayers first and , if any are remaining, some for you.......you most certainly are a wonderful person.

Danky, what a sweet thing to say.........especially concerning me. I am human and certainly do have my 'days'. I just happen to put others first as a habit. Please come back to this board and post any blessings or positive and informative info.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Harlene - It was a lovely evening with Father Jerry. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and we could be in the patio all the time. He absolutely loved your card, and will treasure it and thanks you for all your hard work on it! You made him very happy!!

masque - thanks for pointing out what you thought was thought provoking, I like that one too, plus many others. I love it when you do this!

Danky - thanks, and that is for sure, isn't it?

Lucy - well he got the fresh potatoes, and they were delicious, plus fresh lettuce from the garden and tomatoes, the corn was great too, I had it frozen from last year, just put some Earth Balance on it, which is better than butter, no chol. nothing bad in it, just omega 3's and good stuff, and it tastes like butter!!! We switched from butter to this when Linus got his diabetes scare and keep on using it because it's healthy for us. Sometimes I freeze tomatoes too, so far we've been eating them as they come. Delicious! Again - good graphics.

Love Roses - I've never made a Dump Cake, it must be an easy one to make. You ask for prayer - you got it! Praying for ELaine, Skip, and of course for your upcoming surgery! May God grant you a successful surgery with easy recovery. May He work wonders in Skip and grant help for Elaine as she lives by herself and grant healing to her hip.

Bobbiesue - many blessings to come your way, too!! Thanks for posting.

Anika - thanks for posting your kind words for Bobbiesue. Kindness goes a long way.

Danky - Yes! That is true. Love Roses does put herself last. Reminds me of this poem called "Others" which I made up my own melody to and sing it. I love this!

Lord, help me live from day to day

In such a self-forgetful way

That even when I kneel to pray

My prayer shall be for—Others.

Refrain

Others, Lord, yes others,

Let this my motto be,

Help me to live for others,

That I may live like Thee.

Help me in all the work I do

To ever be sincere and true

And know that all I’d do for You

Must needs be done for—Others.

Refrain

Let ?Self? be crucified and slain

And buried deep: and all in vain

May efforts be to rise again,

Unless to live for—Others.

Refrain

And when my work on earth is done,

And my new work in Heav’n’s begun,

May I forget the crown I’ve won,

While thinking still of—Others.

Refrain

Cakers - So glad to see you!! So happy you are truly blessed - God is good! He loves us all and wants us all happy! Blessings to you!!!
