Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! Lori had us go to her friend's new house to do some help there - she just moved in 2 weeks ago, there was some leak in the basement so Linus helped with getting the carpet off in that area and fans going - it's a nice house for her and her 5 year old with a fenced in back yard - nice deck, too! I told her to let me know when the flowers that are there start to bloom, I'd like to see what all has been planted there! I'm always glad to see a new house, well, it isn't actually new, but there's a lot of work to be done there yet. It was a blessing to be with them, Lori and Joan are painting rooms tonight! Joan helped Lori paint hers when she moved about 4 years ago. Weather is beautiful now yet, but will get colder next week, I hear. Praying for you all for all your needs! God is with you! He loves you - He cares for you! Don't ever forget that!

As a mother sets aside gifts for her children long before they need them,

so,

too, has God prepared for our needs long before we call out to Him. Lord,

I give thanks and place my trust in Your loving arms.

Scripture for the day:

"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in

you?" ~1 Corinthians 3:16

Meditation for the day:

We can gently breathe in God's spirit, that spirit which, if not barred out

by selfishness, will enable us to do good works. This means rather that God

can be enabled to do good works through us. We can become channels for

God's spirit to flow through us and into the lives of others. The works

that we can do will be limited only by our spiritual development. We can

let our spirits be in harmony with God's spirit and there need be no limit

to what we can do in the realm of human relationships.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may become a channel for God's spirit. I pray that God's

spirit may flow through me into the lives of others.

Lent is a time to reflect upon our lives; to see what in our lives may prove

to be obstacles to our salvation, and learn how to overcome them; and to do

penance for the times when we transgress the Commandments of God. It is

also a time of great hope; for it is when we are truly sorry for our sins,

and wish sincerely to make amends for them, and avoid them in the future,

that we begin to understand the depths of God's Mercy

Lord, God,

Trinity of Love,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

I praise You,

I worship You,

I adore You,

I love You.

Father, Creator,

I thank You for the gift of life.

May I do Your will this day.

Jesus, Son, Savior,

by Your death on the Cross,

You showed me the Father's love.

May I be willing to die to myself

in order to live for You.

May I share Your "Good News" this day

with all those around me.

May Your love be reflected

in every kind word, thought, and deed.

And if I fail, be there to raise me up.

Spirit, Sanctifier,

shower Your life

upon all the peoples of the world.

Grant us the gifts of peace and love.

Amen.

THE COLORING SONG

Red is the color of the blood that flowed

Down the face of someone who loved us so.

"He's the perfect man, He's the Lord's own son"

"He's the Lamb of God, He's the only one"

That can give us life that can make us grow

That can make the love between us flow.

Blue is the color of a heart so cold

That will not bend when the story's told

Of the love of God for a sinful race

Of the blood that flowed down Jesus' face,

That can give us life that can make us grow

That can keep our hearts from growing old.

Gold is the color of the morning sun

That shines so freely on everyone.

It's the sun above that keeps us warm

It's the Son of love that calms the storm

That can give us life that can make us grow

That can turn our mornings into gold.

Brown is the color of the autumn leaves

When the winter comes to the barren trees.

There is birth, there is death, there is a plan,

And there's just one God, and there's just one man

That can give us life that can make us grow

That can make our sins as white as snow

That can turn our mornings into gold

That can keep our hearts from growing cold

That can make the love between us flow.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello everyone,

Lamentations 3:22 "Because of the LORD'S great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail."

God is faithful. He's with us to the end. Even when life seems to be falling apart. Even in our pain, even when we are lonely. He is there. For me, it's times like this that drew me closer to God. It was times like this that I questioned, where are You God? Why aren't You helping me? And it was in times like this that I didn't feel His presence, but in the end...He is there, He will never leave us, and He will never let us down.

And someday..."God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4

I find comfort that someday we will be in His presence, and we will be whole.

Keeping each and everyone of you in my prayers. Thank you for yours! My blessings which are many, but today, I was taken by surprise to see two hummingbirds, so I scrambled to get the feeder clean, which should of been done, but I didn't take it down over winter. But now it's hanging out on the porch, and it was such a delight to see them coming to the feeder. And then today, I never saw so many woodpeckers at one time...such a wonderful sight. Our Lilac is blooming, and it smells so good. Oh our Creator is so wonderful! Until next time...

Take Care and God Bless!

Oh I forgot...Welcome 2000survivor! May God bless you always with His love.
