Hello my friends! Beautiful but cool day here today – sun is still shining. We went to our Palm Sunday Mass late this afternoon already because we are planning on going to see Deil tomorrow and getting an early start. Now we are in Holy Week. The whole Passion was read – makes you realize what Jesus all did for us – dying for us, and all the torture He went thru first! And yet, some don’t even believe or care what He did for the world. He truly is worthy to be worshipped and adored! He is our Redeemer!! Our Lord and Our God! Praise be Jesus!! The blessed Palms are to have in our homes or cars, and they are to protect us from storms etc. I read somewhere that putting them by your door or a window sill, to keep evil from entering the house. My Mom used to burn a palm in her gas range (old time range that got converted to gas from logs) whenever we were threatened by bad weather or tornadoes, I remember that well. I also remember it helped greatly – one time heavy winds knocked down a back yard tree, near the house, but the house was fine! Mom used a palm.
I also use blessed candles here when a storm approaches. Anyway, here’s hoping you all have a wonderful night. Have a very Blessed Holy Week. Anyone care to share your traditions about palms too?
Never let the abundance of gifts from God cause you to forget the Giver.
Lord, may I start and end each day with a thank you to You for all of my
blessings including those which I take for granted.

"This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe
in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day."

Faith can be the bridge between us and God. It is not possible for all to
be seen and known. We do not see or know directly, but we can experience
the power of God's spirit through our faith. It is the bridge between us
and God, which we can take or not, as we will.
There ould be no morality without free will. We can make the choice ourselves.
We can make the venture of belief.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may choose and decide to cross the bridge of faith. I pray
that by crossing this bridge I may receive the spiritual power I need.

"Thanks for inviting me to go to church with you next Sunday, Uncle Al."
Tim and his uncle were on their way to Bonny Lake. They had heard the
fishing there was great. "I . . . I don't want to hurt your feelings,"
continued Tim, "but . . . well . . . I'm not sure I want to get into this
religious stuff. Besides, Mom and Dad don't think it's a good idea."
"Oh?" asked Uncle Al in surprise. "I thought you said that your parents
wouldn't mind if you went with me. You sounded quite interested last week.
You even said the Gospel was beginning to make sense to you."
"Yeah, but since then I've done a lot of thinking," Tim said slowly. "I
don't think I feel like getting 'saved' right now. The crowd I hang around
with at school wouldn't understand, and I like being with them. Someday I'll
start going to church, but I think I'll just go on the way I am for a while.
I know I'm not perfect, but I'm not so bad, either."
Tim's uncle drove on silently for a few minutes. "Oh, no!" he exclaimed as
they passed a road sign. "I was so intent on our conversation that I missed
the turnoff! We should have gotten off this road five miles back!"
"Guess we'll have to turn around and go back now, huh?" asked Tim.
But Uncle Al shook his head. "I don't feel like turning around right now,"
he said. "I guess we'll just keep going this way. I kind of like this road,
and the scenery is nice."
Tim looked at his uncle in amazement. "But we have to turn around to get to
Bonny Lake," he protested, "and the longer we keep going this way, the
longer it will take to get back. If we wait too long to turn around, we
might not even get there in time to fish."
Uncle Al smiled at Tim as he slowed down for the next turn. "You're right,"
he said, "and what you said just now is exactly what I've been trying to
tell you about spiritual life . . . that when you're traveling down the
wrong road, the sooner you turn around, the better. If you wait too long,
you might never get to your goal: Heaven."
Whisper Jesus
Today I got a burden,
And I felt that I should pray
For God's spirit seemed to tell me,
That you needed prayer today.
I don't know what the problem is,
But I sure do know the cure
And if you'll only let Him
God will keep you safe and secure.
In life there's always problems
Cropping up to spoil our day
But my friend you know the answer
All you have to do is pray.
If you still feel you're defeated
And you want to run and hide
Just reach out and I'll be there
Standing right there by your side.
So remember, Whisper Jesus,
For He's just a prayer away,
He's so close that you can touch Him
All you have to do is pray.

March 28
I am a God who gives and gives and gives. When I died for you on the cross, I held back nothing; I poured out My Life like a drink offering. Because giving is inherent in My nature, I search for people who are able to receive in full measure. To increase your intimacy with Me, the two traits you need the most are receptivity and attentiveness. Receptivity is opening up your innermost being to be filled with My abundant riches. Attentiveness is directing your gaze to Me: searching for Me in all your moments. It is possible to stay your mind on Me, as the prophet Isaiah wrote. Through such attentiveness you receive a glorious gift: My perfect Peace.
But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
—Philippians 2:17
“I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
—Mark 10:15
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
