Meditation for the day:
We can make it a daily practice to review our character. We can take our
character in relation to our daily life, to our dear ones, our friends, our
acquaintances and our work. Each day we can try to see where God wants us
to change. We can plan how best each fault can be eradicated or each
mistake be corrected. We need never be satisfied with a comparison with
those around us. We can strive toward a better life as our ultimate goal.
God is our helper through weakness to power, through danger to security,
through fear and worry to peace and serenity.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may make real progress toward a better life. I pray that I
may never be satisfied with my present state.
Greetings my friends! Hope your Saturday was a great one. It was for me as
I finally got to talk to Sister LaDonna today! The mix-up was that she
called Erma, one of my sisters to give her the new number to call her, and
right when they were talking Erma's daughter and son-in-law from another
state came in and so they are visiting her now, and Erma only thought about
it today to call Ethel to give her the number. So Ethel called her, and
told her what happened why we never called - and I called her too. She is
looking forward to seeing us, but she still is in a lot of pain. We leave
here at 10 MN time right after Mass. My blessings today was talking to her
and later tonight we had supper with our daughter, Lori, at her house, and a
nice visit, lots of blessings in between - too numerous to mention - one
being no more back ache!! Praise the Lord!! It would be a great blessing
to me when Sister LaDonna is pain free again.
As On Our Way We Go
There isn’t much that I can do, but I can share my bread with you, and
sometimes a sorrow too — as on our way we go.

share a joke with you, and sometimes share reverses, too — as on our way we

How Blessed Are We?
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...
you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...
you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,
torture, or death...
you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead
and a place to sleep...
you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish
someplace...
you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still alive and still married...
you are very rare.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful...
you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the
shoulder...
you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you,

My Morning Prayer
I come before You, Lord, In the newness of this day
To ask Your grace upon me, Your love to guide my way.
May I face this day with strength, A gift from You above,
And may I show to others The mercies of your love.
May I don my Christian faith Best to wear at its best,
So when temptations come to taunt I'm ready for their test.
Then when at last it's evening And I come again in prayer

A NEW PRESCRIPTION
Are you needing a prescription for

A PRAYER TO OUR LADY FOR HEALING
Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as our Lady of the Miraculous
Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great
graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for
us. In your union with his suffering you became the mother of us all.
Mary, my mother, teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure
it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my
fears and increase my trust in God's loving care.
According to God's plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with
your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God's glory and the
salvation of the world. Amen.
