Hello my friends!! This morning was our doctor's visit - his for follow up on his blood work, I just got my finger - guess I can't say the word, but right away I got my results - Chol and trig way down - Praise God! Guess it could be because we eat very little red meat, we use ground turkey, organic, which we buy by the case full from our Good Earth Food - co-up, and I use that for hot dishes, stir fries, anything I'd use hamburger for, and it paid off, not only in the good results, but it's a lot less costly too! That's our blessing for today, a big one. I asked our Nurse Practitioner, Carol, about my 12 year old plantar's wart that we can't get rid of, Thiefs, an essential oil, which I already have, is good for that, just put it on, one drop, twice a day, and I'm supposed to take zinc with breakfast and dinner, which is supposed to kill that virus that keeps that wart alive. We really like Carol, she's into natural meds alot, essential oils, that's a great clinic there! She is another blessing to us!! Our temp today got to almost 90! Wow!! Not complaining a bit after the cold winter we had. Praying for you all - and I never stop!!
If you think success and really believe it will happen, you will perform in
a manner
that leads to success. Lord, may I always avoid negative thoughts and
visualize
myself in the manner that You intended for me.
Scripture for the day:
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I
will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-30
Meditation for the day:
The way sometimes seems long and wary. So many people today are weary. The
weariness of others can often be shared by me. The weary and the
heavy-laden, when they come to me, can be helped to find the rest that I
have found. There is only one sure cure for world-weariness and that is
turning to spiritual things. In order to help bring about the turning of
the weary world to God, I can dare to suffer, dare to conquer selfishness in
myself, and dare to be filled with spiritual peace in the face of all the
weariness of the world.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may be a help to discouraged people. I pray that I may have
the courage to help bring about what the weary world needs but does not know
how to get.
Here is some food for thought:
TAKE IT WITH YOU
By Sally I. Kennedy
Take it With You
and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Eph 6:17
Most days when I leave home I have my cell phone glued to me. In the
unlikely event that I forget to take it with me, I turn around and go
back and get it if possible.
For a lot of years I got along fine without a cellular phone. "What's
so important about having it now", I asked myself just this week,
"especially all the time?" There is something more important to have
when I leave home – or even at home. Armor, spiritual armor.
When Paul wrote a letter to the people at a church in Ephesus, he
closed it with an important wrap-up, instructions on putting on this
armor, and what it's for. You never know what a day will bring. It is
a more-than-good idea to not leave home without it, your spiritual
armor.
`A final word... put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able
to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you
will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of
truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the
peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully
prepared..hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the
devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God.' Ephesians 6: 10-17

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?
If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I'm a
Deliverer?
If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an overcomer?
If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a Comforter?
If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?
If you knew it all, how would you know that I will answer your
questions?
If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to
your rescue?
If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you
whole?
If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?
If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what Jesus
went through?
If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure?
If I gave you all things, how would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me?
If your life was perfect, then what would you need Me for?
THANK YOU, GOD!
I BELIEVE
I believe- that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we
are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I believe- that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you
every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I believe- that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them
to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I believe- that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest
distance. Same goes for true love.
I believe- that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to
be.
I believe- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may
be the last time you see them.
I believe- that you can keep going, long after you can't.
I believe- that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe- that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it
needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I believe- that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I believe- that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the
best time.
I believe- that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're
down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
I believe- that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry , but
that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I believe- that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I believe- that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes
you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I believe- that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't
stop for your grief.
I believe- that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't
love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I believe- that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could
change your life forever.
I believe- that two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally different.
I believe- that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who
don't even know you.
I believe- that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend
cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I believe- that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human
being.
I believe- that the people you care about most in life are taken from you
too soon.
and a prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father
by William De Witt Hyde
Dear heavenly Father, Give me clean hands, clean words, and clean thoughts;
Help me to stand for the hard right Against the easy wrong; Save me from
habits that harm; Teach me to work as hard, And play as fair in thy sight
alone, As if the whole world saw; Forgive me when I am unkind, And help
me to forgive those who are unkind to me; And keep me ready to help others.
What Do You Do, When God Speaks to You?
(author unknown)
A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study.
The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice.
The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"
After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they
discussed the message.
Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home.
Sitting in his car, he just began to pray,
"God. . . If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will
do my
best to obey."
As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought,
stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?"
He didn't get a reply and started on toward home.
But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.
The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the
voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.
"Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk."
It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the
milk.
He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh street, he again felt the urge, "Turn down that
street."
This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down seventh street.
At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.
Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will."
He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop.
He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi-commercial
area of town.
It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.
The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the
people were already in bed.
Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house
across the street."
The young man looked at the house.
It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were
already asleep.
He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this
is insane.
Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and
I
will look stupid."
Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.
Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the
door and I will give them the milk.
If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient.
I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I
am out of here."
He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear
some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?"
Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and t-shirt. He looked like he
just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem
too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?"
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you."
The man took the milk and rushed down a hall way speaking loudly in Spanish.
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen.
The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying.
The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half
crying,
"We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of
money.
We didn't have any milk for our baby.
I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk."
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with
some...Are you an Angel?"
The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on
him
and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the
tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers
and that God still speaks to His people.
God talks to us daily! We are to be in Obedience unto the functioning of the
Holy Spirit.
When God speaks to your heart of hearts, obey, for in your sacrifice of
obedience, God rewards you bountifully!
Praise God, for every opportunity to be used of Him, for He is Faithful to
answers prayers of those who seek Him.
