It is very humbling to realize that often what burdens us the most would be
very missed if it were taken away. Lord, I will take the time to appreciate
my life.
S C R I P T U R E F O R T H E D A Y
"'Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy
burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn
from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest
for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'"
~Matthew 11:28-30

We can lay upon God our failures and mistakes and shortcomings.
We need not dwell upon our failures, upon the fact that in the past
we have been nearer a beast than an angel. We have a mediator
between us and God. Our growing faith can lift us up from the mire and
point us toward the heavens. We can still be reconciled with
God. We can still regain our harmony with God and God's will for
us.

I pray that I may not let the beast in me hold me back from my spiritual
destiny. I pray that I may rise and walk upright.
Peace of Jesus to you! Hope your day was a good one! We had a nice breakfast here with Fr. Matthew after Mass - I made pancakes and we had a really nice visit - what a joy to have him over. First Sammy barked him out, then he was his pal! It was a hard day for us - our appointment went fine - but the next step will be to go to our bank and see if we qualify for low interest - if that doesn't work, then we will have to sell our house and move to an apt. But whatever is God's Will for us - will be good for us, as He only wants the best for His people. We just have to trust Him more and more daily. Thank you for your prayers! They are so appreciated and I knew I could count on you.
I don't have a lot to say today - my blessings are the sunshine, birds, good husband, a call from Darla, and Lori made plans to take us to see my sister, Deil tomorrow afternoon and have supper with her.

Are You Just Going Through the Motions?
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Hos 14:2-10 / Mk 12:28-34
So much of our lives we run on ‘radar,’ the daily routines of getting up and going off to wherever we go off to, the routines in the household, at the office, in the supermarket, on the freeway. Our ‘radar’ works very well and keeps us moving at a remarkable and efficient pace.
But ‘radar’ makes itself felt at other levels as well, in our relationships, in our patterns of thinking, even in our choices of political candidates. We pretend to think and pretend to reason, and then we make our blind leap and defend our ‘decisions’ and ‘choices’ to the death.
For too much of life, we just go through the motions, with all the action on the outside and nothing on the inside, which is where the choices are supposed to come from.
Jesus is challenging us to do more than just go through the motions, and instead to live from the inside out. To live wholeheartedly from the inside is Jesus’ formula for success and for joy: Love the Lord with your whole heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.
As a way of life, there’s no doubt that it costs the most, but it always pays off. And that makes it life’s best bargain!
Sayings of Mother Teresa
We all long for heaven where God Is,
but we have it in our power to be in heaven with him right now,
to be happy with him at this very moment.
But being happy with him now means loving as he loves,
helping as he helps, giving as he gives, serving as he serves,
rescuing as he rescues, being with him for all the twenty-four hours,
touching him in his distressing disguise.
A Prayer for Lent
Lord our God, you formed man from the clay of the earth and breathed into him the spirit of life, but he turned from your face and sinned. In this time of repentance we call out for your mercy. Bring us back to you and to the life your Son won for us by his death on the cross, for he lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
PRAYER OF REPARATION TO THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS
O Blessed Face of my kind Savior, by the tender love and piercing sorrow of Our Lady as she beheld Thee in Thy cruel Passion, grant us to share in this intense sorrow and love so as to fulfill the Holy Will of God to the utmost of our ability. Amen.

THE DEVIL´S BEATITUDES
If the Devil were to write his Beatitudes, they would probably go something
like this:
* Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an
hour once a week in Church ~ they are my best
workers.
* Blessed are those who wait to be asked and expect to be
thanked ~ I can use them.
* Blessed are the touchy, with a bit of luck they may stop going to church
~ they are my missionaries.
* Blessed are those who are very religious but get on everyone's nerves ~
they are mine forever.
* Blessed are the troublemakers ~ they shall be called my children.
* Blessed are those who have no time to pray ~ they are easy prey for me.
* Blessed are the gossipers ~ for they are my secret agents.
* Blessed are those critical of Church leadership ~ for they shall inherit
a place with me in my fate.
* Blessed are the complainers ~ I'm all ears for them.
* Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and
not yourself ~ I've got you.
Christ is my life, I caused his death;
He is my assurance and eternal rest.
He is my Redeemer, I was his damnation;
He has chosen me since before creation.
He is my comfort, I caused his pain;
He broke the bonds that sin might not reign.
He is all my blessing, I was once his curse;
I would never love him, had he not loved me first.
(Sara M. Siviero)
Limits of Love
After the divorce, her teenage daughter became
increasingly rebellious.
It culminated late one night when the police called to
tell her that she had to come to the police station to
pick up her daughter, who was arrested for drunk
driving.
They didn't speak until the next afternoon.
Mom broke the tension by giving her daughter a small
gift-wrapped box.
Her daughter nonchalantly opened it and found a small
piece of a rock.
She rolled her eyes and said, "Cute Mom, what's this
for?"
"Here's the card," Mom said.
Her daughter took the card out of the envelope and
read it. Tears started to trickle down her cheeks.
She got up and gave her mom a big hug as the card
fell to the floor.
On the card were these words:
"This rock is more than 200 million years old. That's
how long it will take before I give up on you."
Closing Prayer:
*~Thank-You God~*
(author: unknown)
Thank-You God for being my Comforter,
When my soul was weak
and the tears wouldn't stop,
When my heart was aching with pain
and I was searching for refuge,
When my spirit was broken beyond repair
and I felt lost and hopeless,
Thank-You for Joy.
Thank-You God for being my Teacher,
When I was ignorant to the Lessons of Life
and rebuked wisdom,
When I was rebellious against your principles
and rejected morality,
When I was hindered by obstacles
and blinded by self-doubt,
Thank-You for Knowledge.
Thank-You God for being my Spiritual Guide,
When I chose the wrong path to tread
and lost sight of my purpose,
When I didn't know the power of faith, prayer,
and forgiveness,
When I didn't know how to surrender all my
anger, fears, and temptations,
Thank-You for your Guidance.
Thank-You God for being my Counselor,
When I didn't know how to acknowledge nor
express my feelings,
When I chose Sin over Self-Love,
Thank-You for Revelations, Awakenings, & Resolutions.
Thank-You God
