The important thing is not how long your life is, but how good your life is.
Lord, may I glorify You all the days of my life.
Scripture for the day:
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were
called in the one body. And be thankful." ~Colossians 3:15
Meditation for the day:
We can be at home and comfortable in the world. Yet some of us live
lives of quiet desperation. This is the opposite of being at home and at
peace in the world. We can let our peace of mind be evident to those around
us.
We can let others see that we are comfortable, and seeing it, know that it
springs from our trust in God. The dull, hard way of resignation is
not God's way. Faith can take the sting out of the winds of adversity and
can bring peace even in the midst of struggle.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may be more comfortable in my way of living. I pray that
I may feel more at home and at peace within myself.
Hello my friends! It was a chilly day today - yet my husband completed his
project with expanding our garden - raised up near our patio. Now he needs
to get ground in and plant the carrots, cukes, and beans and what ever else
there's room for. He's so happy he got it finished today and it really
looks nice. An ordinary day for me - just made chili for supper, and Sammy
and I took a nap - I was so chilly today! Tonight I haven't much to say so
I'll just give you the inspirations and may God hug you with His loving
arms.
Just got this on email from my former and favorite teacher:
A Baby's Hug~
We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik in a
high chair and noticed everyone was quietly sitting and talking. Suddenly,
Erik squealed with glee and said, 'Hi.' He pounded his fat baby hands on the
high chair tray. His eyes were crinkled in laughter and his mouth was bared
in a toothless grin, as he wriggled and giggled with merriment.
I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man whose
pants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out of
would-be shoes.. His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed and
unwashed.. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and his nose was
so varicose it looked like a road map.
We were too far from him to smell, but I was sure he smelled.. His hands
waved and flapped on loose wrists.. 'Hi there, baby; hi there, big boy. I
see ya, buster,' the man said to Erik.
My husband and I exchanged looks, 'What do we do?'
Erik continued to laugh and answer, 'Hi.'
Everyone in the restaurant noticed and looked at us and then at the man. The
old geezer was creating a nuisance with my beautiful baby. Our meal came and
the man began shouting from across the room, 'Do ya patty cake? Do you know
peek-a-boo? Hey, look, he knows peek- a-boo.'
Nobody thought the old man was cute. He was obviously drunk.
My husband and I were embarrassed. We ate in silence; all except for Erik,
who was running through his repertoire for the admiring skid-row bum, who in
turn, reciprocated with his cute comments.
We finally got through the meal and headed for the door. My husband went
to pay the check and told me to meet him in the parking lot. The old man sat
poised between me and the door. 'Lord, just let me out of here before he
speaks to me or Erik,' I prayed. As I drew closer to the man, I turned my
back trying to sidestep him and avoid any air he might be breathing. As I
did, Erik leaned over my arm, reaching with both arms in a baby's
'pick-me-up' position. Before I could stop him, Erik had propelled himself
from my arms to the man.
Suddenly a very old smelly man and a very young baby consummated their
love and kinship. Erik in an act of total trust, love, and submission laid
his tiny head upon the man's ragged shoulder. The man's eyes closed, and I
saw tears hover beneath his lashes. His aged hands full of grime, pain, and
hard labor, cradled my baby's bottom and stroked his back. No two beings
have ever loved so deeply for so short a time.
I stood awestruck. The old man rocked and cradled Erik in his arms and
his eyes opened and set squarely on mine. He said in a firm commanding
voice, 'You take care of this baby.'
Somehow I managed, 'I will,' from a throat that contained a stone.
He pried Erik from his chest, lovingly and longingly, as though he were in
pain. I received my baby, and the man said, 'God bless you, ma'am, you've
given me my Christmas gift.'
I said nothing more than a muttered thanks. With Erik in my arms, I ran
for the car. My husband was wondering why I was crying and holding Erik so
tightly, and why I was saying, 'My God, my God, forgive me.'
I had just witnessed Christ's love shown through the innocence of a tiny
child who saw no sin, who made no judgment; a child who saw a soul, and a
mother who saw a suit of clothes. I was a Christian who was blind, holding a
child who was not.. I felt it was God asking, 'Are you willing to share your
son for a moment?' when He shared His for all eternity. How did God feel
when he put his baby in our arms 2000 years ago.
The ragged old man, unwittingly, had reminded me, 'To enter the Kingdom of
God , we must become as little children.'
If this has blessed you, please bless others by sending it on. Sometimes, it
takes a child to remind us of what is really important. We must always
remember who we are, where we came from and, most importantly, how we feel
about others. The clothes on your back or the car that you drive or the
house that you live in does not define you at all; it is how you treat your
fellow man that identifies who you are.
This one is a keeper.
'It is better to be liked for the true you, than to be loved for who people
think you are......'
Be understanding to your perceived enemies.
Be loyal to your friends.
Be strong enough to face the world each day.
Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone.
Be generous to those who need your help.
Be frugal with that you need yourself.
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.
Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.
Be willing to share your joys.
Be willing to share the sorrows of others.
Be a leader when you see a path others have missed.
Be a follower when you are shrouded by the mists of uncertainty.
Be first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds.
Be last to criticize a colleague who fails.
Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not tumble.
Be sure of your final destination, in case you are going the wrong way.
Be loving to those who love you.
Be loving to those who do not love you; they may change.
Above all, be yourself.

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is
all you need.
Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say a prayer.
Father, God please bless all my family members, relatives, friends & loved
ones in whatever they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of
your love, peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer
relationship with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
Then send it on. In no time you will cause people to pray for other people.
Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life Amen.
"Soul Searching"
A GREAT RECIPE...
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the
ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what
is going on in your life. Buy a lock for your door if you have to.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My
purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for______________'
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is
manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan
salmon, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of
the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest
your energy in the positive present moment..
8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college
kid with a maxed out charge card.
9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone..
11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to
disagree.
13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey
is all about.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will
this matter?'
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will.
Stay in touch!!!
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am
thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be
smiling before you know it.
God's Road Map
I opened my map that God had left
Realized that I had missed my turn
Searched for the error I made
And God's voice I heard
He said rely on me my child and I'll direct your path
For the mistake you made was neither right nor left
I quizzed the words he said and turned the page
There I saw another lost and afraid
We both turned the next page and a note was left
God said, Do not fear for I haven't left
His words were comforting and true
But left me to ask, Did I leave you?
In His words I heard a smile
And He said you've gone the last mile
I looked at the map realizing my fate
The directions simple from state to state
Take my hand He said again
Without a second thought we placed our Faith in Him
Realizing the power we felt
We knelt to give Him Praise
And the final direction He gave
He said soft and sweet
You are done and have found the place
Where I have promised silver and gold
Reign with me and rest at home
For the Map you've used hast made thee whole
Continue to tell the journey you made
And the words you've heard
For the map you've used is simply God's Word!
Mary, Queen of the Universe
Immaculate Mother,
I give you all the sufferings of my life
For the appeasement of Divine Justice and the salvation of souls.
Please hold and protect my loved ones and me
In your Immaculate Heart!
Amen.
Come Holy Spirit Come
Come by the Most Powerful Intercession
of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Your most well Beloved Spouse!!
