Meditation for the day:

We can try to stand aside and let God work through us. We can try not
to block God off by our own efforts, or prevent God's spirit from
working through us. God desires our obedient service and our loyalty
to the ideals of the new life we are seeking. If we are loyal to God,
He can give us protection against mistakes. God's spirit can plan for
us and secure for us a sufficiency of all spiritual help. We can have
true victory and real success, if we will put ourselves in the
background and let God work through us.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may not interfere with the working of God's spirit in me
and through me. I pray that I may give it full rein.

Greetings my friends! How was your Sunday? Hope it was blessed! We had a
beautiful Mass this morning celebrating the Body and Blood of Christ!
Beautiful music, beautiful homily on the Eucharist and what a privilege it
is to receive Him! Today started out rainy, but then it got better out, and
we got a surprise phone call while we were at Mass, some good old friends of
ours of over 20 some years, were passing thru our town and called us to meet
them for lunch at Perkins at 1:00. So we did, and it was so nice seeing
them again. They used to live close to us and we'd see them often, now they
live four hours away. That was a blessing to see them again!! Then Linus
got blessed by his daughters wanting to take him -hiking all around Lori's
town, and took him out for a drink - just so they'd have father/daughters
time. Said they had Mother/daughters time a lot lately. So it was his
time. I stayed here and took a good nap! It was a good day!! It will also
be a good night!!!

They all ate as much as they wanted, and when the scraps remaining were
collected they filled twelve baskets"
Living Bread come down from Heaven

Every Mass is a commemoration, a celebration, of the Body and Blood of
Christ. Let today´s celebration be for us an occasion to thank God for this
great gift and to strengthen our devotion to the Blessed Eucharist

PERSONAL PRAYER

My soul praise the Lord, for all his kindness especially for having left His
Body and Blood as my spiritual food. It is you, Lord, who give bread to the
hungry and set prisoners free, who raise up fallen and protect the weak and
the weary. Yes, you have been my comfort in times past. Stay with me now
when I need you.

Christ, you come to me as my spiritual food, so I ask you :

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me.

Lord, when the people of Israel were hungry in the desert, you gave them
bread to eat and water to drink. As I wander through the desert of life,
where all seems dry and tasteless, I need your spiritual food to give me
energy to keep going. With you to help and restore me, who can stand against
me?

O Sacrament most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving
be every moment thine.

Five Ploys of Satan

Doubt - Tempts us to question God's Word and his goodness, forgiveness, and
love

Discouragement - Tempts us to focus intently on our problems rather than
entrusting them to God's care

Diversion - Tempts us to see the wrong things as attractive so that we will
want them more than the right things

Defeat - Tempts us to feel like failure so that we don't even try

Delay - Tempts us to procrastinate so that things never get done

Reflect on these ploys of Satan, and if you find that he has darkened your
life on any of these counts, lift up the situation to Our Lady in prayer.

Dear One,
You are my child and I love you. It's just that simple. No matter what
you've done or what you haven't done. I love you! You have an eternal spirit
living within you, and I know your spirit intimately, and I love you. You
are on this earth, living your life, making your decisions, trying to find
out what's the best thing to do and how to do it - how to live, how to
survive - and it's a struggle. I know this and I understand, for this is the
struggle of life. But all of this can be made easier if you will just
connect -- to Me.

For though your life carries on and you age and then die, your SPIRIT never
ages. It never dies. The real you, the you that now dwells within the
confines of your body, will live forever.

This is why the things of the body, the material things of the world, are
not the things to strive for because one day you must leave them behind. The
things that truly matter are those of the spirit: LOVE, KINDNESS, MERCY,
UNDERSTANDING, GIVING. These are the things that make you rich-rich in
spirit. These are the things that make you strong-strong in spirit.

When the day comes that you shed the garment of your flesh, the strength of
your spirit will be all that counts. So do good. Show love. Give love. Love
your family. Love your neighbors. Love those you meet. Show mercy, kindness
and compassion. For by sharing these things- by showing love- you show ME to
others. For I, God AM Love, and I love you. I want to spend Eternity with
you.

When you come to the door at the end of the road, at the end of your life,
you will need the key to open the door, to enter into MY HOME where
everything is LOVE. But you don't have to work for that key-just hold out
your hand right now and I will place it there. The Key is MY SON, JESUS, I
hold out this key to you now and say, "It can be yours, because I love you."
It is as though I am offering you the key to My treasure vault, saying,
"This is yours, just because I love you." With this key you can open the
vault and find it is full of treasure. So receive MY KEY- the KEY to living
with ME forever. Just say, yes, GOD, I want the Key to life. I want Your
SON, JESUS, the Key to your vault. I receive it. I accept it. Then this Key
will be yours forever.

I love you. You are my child, and I give you the Key to my inheritance, the
Key to my vault, the Key to Eternity! He is yours, if you will just receive
Him.

God even stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.


You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.


Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan.
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.


When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U.


So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know

Let us continue to pray for each other. For all who need prayers, and we
all do, I ask Our Lord to answer our needs - and I ask Mary, Our Heavenly
Mother, to intercede for us, and please do remember my sister, Sister
LaDonna, in your prayers, too. She is devastated because she is ordered to
move back to the Motherhouse in Rochester, MN now - as it seems they are
calling all Sisters who are getting into the 80's to come back to the
Monastery. She hates leaving her clients which she gives rides to etc.
etc. but she's under Obedience to the Order and she must go back. Please
pray for her - this is very hard for her being for many years she was living
close to Erma and Ethel - her and my sisters. Rochester isn't that far, but
it's about 80 miles from Mpls. where she was. Her birthday is July 1st -
we'd usually always celebrate it on the fourth.
My prayer for her is that she will find much peace and love there and will
be very happy. God is a God of surprises, and He has a lot of good things
in store for her.
