Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Hello my friends! Thank you for your patience with me last night when I was trying so hard to get the thread out to no avail. I just want to start out tonight by giving my thanks to all of you - and I'll try it again tonight, if it doesn't go through, it goes to those who have my email address and I have theirs which is the email version of this thread. My blessings today - after our Mass we went to buy a nice Nativity Set - I'll have Father Jerry bless it when he comes, for outside. Linus plans on building a stable for it outside. It's one that has the 3 kings with the Holy Family, and very colorful, not that big, but he plans on having a flood light showing it off when we display it. Had Lori here for supper, always a joy having her over! Praying for you all!!! God bless you!

Every decision we make is not critical nor is every mistake fatal.

Lord, help me keep things in perspective and avoid the panic such

thinking creates.

Scripture for the day:

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens,

and I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28

Meditation for the day:

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens,

and I will give you rest." For rest from the cares of life, we can

turn to God each day in prayer and communion. Real relaxation and

serenity come from a deep sense of the fundamental goodness of the

universe. God's everlasting arms are underneath all and can support

us. We can commune with God, not so much for petitions to be granted

as for the rest that comes from our relying on God's will and God's

purposes for our lives. We can be sure of God's strength available to

us, and conscious of God's

support. We can wait quietly until that true rest from God fills our

being.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may be conscious of God's support today. I pray that I

may rest safe and sure therein.

PHYSICAL HEALING PRAYER

" Jesus, you are the wounded healer, heal me through your wounds. You are

the God, the Ultimate, who alone can heal me. You are my Divine medicine. O!

Lord! Just say one word, and I shall be healed. Jesus, forgive all my sins

and iniquities through your bloodshed. Have mercy on all my ancestors. O!

Jesus! Send your Holy Spirit upon me and liberate me from all bondage.

Jesus, my only Savior, deliver me from all my sins and sickness. Mother

Mary, mother of good health, I cry out to you for your prayers for the mercy

of your Son to heal me right now! Thank you Mother Mary, Thank you Jesus,

Thank you Abba Father, and Thank you Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!"

Lord, our God, may your Son reign in our minds

so that we may think as He would have us think.

May He rule our hearts

so that we may love as He would have us love.

May He direct our whole behavior

that it may be more like His.

Lord, for what we have, we are so grateful.

Help us especially to be sensitive and generous towards others.

And finally, may we really want your Kingdom to come.

Amen.

In the Mood

Do you ever avoid what must be done because you're just not in the mood? How

many opportunities and possibilities are never fulfilled because you were

not in the mood when it was time for action?

Whose mood is it, anyway? It's yours, and you have the option of adjusting

your mood to serve your purposes. There are times when the best things in

life will not wait until your mood happens to be right. There are times when

it is in your best interest to put yourself in the mood for what must be

done.

If you're not in the mood to do some particular task, there's a quick and

easy way to put yourself in the mood. Simply visualize, clearly, richly and

in full detail, how great it will feel to already have the job done.

The more you don't feel like doing it, the more you will want to have it

done. Focus intensely on the benefits of having it done and that will put

you in the mood to go ahead and get it done.

Your feelings have a powerful influence on you. So focus them in a positive,

productive direction and let them push you forward.

Let it Go!

Let it go (by T. D. Jakes, 2004)

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you

this, when people can walk away from you: let them walk!

I do not want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,

loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying

attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. Your destiny is never tied to

anybody that left.

The bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest

that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have

continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not

joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go.

It doesn't mean that they are bad, it just means that their part in the

story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is

over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. You've got to know

when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over.

Let me tell you something; I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth

spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.

It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God

means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I

don't need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never

intended for your life, then you need to... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains... LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth... LET

IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge... LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents...

LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude... LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in

Him... LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship... LET IT

GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves...

LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed .... LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself

and God is saying "take your hands off of it"... LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new

thing. Forgiveness is the solution.

GLIMPSES THROUGH LIFE'S WINDOWS

Author Unknown

"The Changed Cross" is a poem that tells of a weary woman who taught

that the cross she must bear surely was heavier than those of other

people, so she wished she could choose another person's instead. When

she went to sleep, she dreamed she was taken to a place where there

were many different crosses from which to choose. There were various

shapes and sizes, but the

most beautiful one was covered with jewels and gold. "This I could

wear with comfort," she said. So she picked it up, but her weak body

staggered beneath its weight. The jewels and gold were beautiful, yet

they were much too heavy for her to carry.

The next cross she noticed was quite lovely, with beautiful flowers

entwined around its sculptured form. Surely this was the one for her.

She lifted it, but beneath the flowers were large thorns that pierced

and tore her skin.

Finally she came to a plain cross without jewels or any carvings and

with only a few words of love inscribed on it. When she picked it up,

it proved to be better than all the rest, and the easiest to carry.

And as she looked at it, she noticed it was bathed in a radiance that

fell from heaven.

Then she recognized it as her own old cross. She had found it once

again, and it was the best of all, and the lightest for her.

You see, God knows best what cross we need to bear, and we never know

how heavy someone else's cross may be. We envy someone who is rich,

with a cross of gold adorned with jewels, but we do not know how heavy

it is. We looked at someone whose life seems so easy and who carries a

cross covered with flowers. Yet if we could actually test all the

crosses we think are lighter than ours, we would never find one better

suited for us than our own.
