M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and
I will give you rest." For rest from the cares of life, we can turn to
God each day in prayer and communion. Real relaxation and serenity come
from a deep sense of the fundamental goodness of the universe. God's
everlasting arms are underneath all and can support us. We can commune
with God, not so much for petitions to be granted as for the rest that
comes from our relying on God's will and God's purposes for our lives.
We can be sure of God's strength available to us, and conscious of God's
support. We can wait quietly until that true rest from God fills our
being.

P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y

I pray that I may be conscious of God's support today. I pray that I
may rest safe and sure therein.

Peace of Jesus be yours! Hope you all had a nice, relaxing Sunday, and a wonderful, very inspiring Church Service or Mass. We did! And Lori had her day today with having us and her uncles, Ron and David with their wives over for supper and for the wives to see her house and all the work their husbands did for her. It was a very nice afternoon and evening, and after supper which she made steaks and scallops, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus and for dessert she made a very delicious apple dessert., we played Apples to Apples - it was the first time they played it, but they all enjoyed the game. She is so happy there in her new house! God did have her wait for the perfect house for her, she had to wait for it to become available - all in His perfect timing. It's a blessing to see her so happy!

For prayers and sacrifice in Her Son's Name
and still you're ignoring My Mother?
I sent Her to earth from heaven above
so you would give Her your honor and love
And still you're ignoring My Mother!
When you ignore My Mother you ignore Her Son
Because to Me, She's the dearest one!
Why are you ignoring My Mother?
You'd better amend and do not tarry
The ideal way to Jesus, is Mary!
So please stop ignoring My Mother!

Follow Your Heart
Sometimes your heart thinks, whom do you really love?
You love someone, but you like someone else
Your minds speaks, but your heart denies...
Someone listens, but someone else comforts...
Someone prays, but someone else consoles...
Someone says, but someone else's actions speak...
Someone laughs, but someone else understands...
Someone just tells, but someone else makes you do...
Someone is there, but someone you want is not...
You search for someone in someone else...
Is this a beginning of Love, or is it the end?
A time comes in life when you think what love really is?

WHAT IS A TRUE CHRISTIAN

A true Christian is a sign of contradiction -
a living symbol of the Cross.
He or she is a person who:
believes the unbelievable,
bears the unbearable,
forgives the unforgivable,
loves the unlovable,
is perfectly happy not to be perfect,
is willing to give up his or her will,
becomes weak to be strong ...
and finds love by giving it away.

BIRDS AND WINGS

An old legend says that God first created birds without wings.
Sometime later, God made wings and said to the birds, "Come, take up
these burdens and bear them." The birds hesitated at first, but soon
obeyed. They tried picking up the wings in their beaks, but found them
too heavy. Then they tried picking them up wit their claws, but found
them too large. Finally one of the birds managed to get the wings
hoisted onto its shoulders where it was possible to carry them.
To the amazement of the birds, before long the wings began to grow and
they soon had attached themselves to the bodies of the birds. One of
the birds began to flap his wings and others followed his example.
Shortly afterwards, one of the birds took off and began to soar in the
air above. What had once been a heavy burden now became the very thing
that enabled the birds to go where they could never go before...and at
the same time, truly fulfill the destiny of their creation. The duties
and responsibilities you count as burdens today may be part of God's
destiny for your life, the means by which your soul is lifted up and
prepared for eternity.
Don't be afraid of pressure. Remember that pressure is what turns a
lump of coal into a diamond.
You know the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance
must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not
lacking anything. James 1:3,4

Mother Teresa Said...
We must love with Jesus' love and his spirit of sacrifice. God loved us by giving himself to us. We too must give ourselves to one another. Because of this, we must reject whatever would keep us from giving ourselves to one another.

Guardian Angels
Holy Angel of my husband, I commend him this day to your powerful care. Be with him in his daily work, shield him from every misfortune, and guard him against all temptation from without and within. And you, Angels of my children look after them wherever they go and I cannot be with them. Let them return home unharmed in body and soul.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children - you know that I can no longer protect and oversee and control my children as before, when they were little. They are entrusted to you. Therefore, I ask you with all my Motherly love to protect my children this day in body and soul, wherever they go, that they remain safe from all harm. Stir their conscience when they waver, and lend them your strength. You behold at all times the face of the Heavenly Father; beseech Him to turn all things to good, that one day in union with you we may praise and bless Him forever.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children - each of you knows his ward better and deeper than I can. Show me what to do to bring up my children rightly. Help me to open their hearts to everything good and holy. Teach them to love Christ as He deserves to be loved. Amen

Right now all my other ones are missing - hiding somewhere in the computer hiding places. So I'll be typing out some that I have in my drawers until I find my missing folders.
