Do not take any action until you've prayed and listened and then you
will have guidance to reach the understanding necessary to complete
the things you need to do. Lord, I know that there is no obstacle for
You and ask that You will guide me along the right path.
Scripture for the day:
"If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this
mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey
you.'" ~Luke 17:6
Meditation for the day:
Day by day we can slowly build up an unshakable faith in God and in
God's ability to give us all the help we need. By having these quiet
times each morning, we can start each day with a renewing our faith,
until it becomes almost a part of us and a strong habit. We can keep
furnishing the quiet places of our souls with all the furniture of
faith. We can try to fill our thoughts each day with all that is
harmonious and good, beautiful and enduring.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may build a house in my soul for the spirit of God to
dwell in. I pray that I may come at last to an unshakable faith.
Greetings for Memorial Day! Looking forward to my classmate friend, Angie,
coming again in the afternoon to spend a few days with me. I'm thinking of
inviting another classmate over for lunch - she is Fr. Jerry's sister,
Shirley, and maybe if it works out, our teacher, Sister Renee. We loved her
in the classroom and out. It depends on how Shirley doing, she just had a
hernia repaired and had complications and had to get back In the hospital,
Fr. Jerry said. She doesn't live too far from me and belongs in our Parish.
Husband is going to be gone a few days working on building a new deck at his
nephew's lake home - with his brothers and he's looking forward to spending
time with them. Today's the Feast of Pentecost, we had to wait for Mass for
tonight being he started work too early. Tomorrow's another long day, but
then he's off for awhile again, and working with his brothers is a different
kind of work. He was doing well today, is tired, but not sore - I thank Our
Lord for that!
Quiet Time
Father,
Thank You for each and every day You have
blessed us here on earth.
Thank You for Your tender mercies.
Thank You for giving us friends and family to share these Internet joys
with.
I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for who
are reading this right now..
Where there is joy, give them continued joy,
Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence.
Where there is need, fulfill their needs.
Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings
In Jesus' name Amen.
NEVER GIVE UP
Author Unknown
One day a young lady was driving along with her father.
They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What
should I do?"
He said "keep driving". Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm
was getting worse.
"What should I do." The young lady asked?
"Keep driving," her father replied.
On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling
over. She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead. It
is terrible, and everyone is pulling over!"
Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"
Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon
she could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was
again on dry land, and the sun came out.
Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out."
She said "But why now?"
He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up
and are still in the storm, because you never gave up your storm is
now over.
This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times".
Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up. You don't
have to...if you keep going, soon your storm will be over and the sun
will shine upon your face again.
This story touched me! I hope it touched you, too !!!
I KNOW.....
* I know He is the beginning, so why do I worry about the end
* I know He is the creator, so why do I wonder who will destroy
* I know He has forgiven me, so why can't I forgive myself
* I know He is a healer, so why do I speak of sickness
* I know He can do all things, so why do I say I can't
* I know He will protect me, so why do I fear
* I know He will supply all my needs, so why can't I wait
* I know He is my strength and my salvation, so why do I feel weak
* I know that everything and everyone has a season, so why when someone's
season is over do I weep instead of rejoice
* I know He is the right way, so why do I go the wrong way
* I know He is the light, so why do I choose to walk in darkness
* I know that whatever I ask of God, God will give me, so why am I scared to
ask
* I know tomorrow is not promised, so why do I put off for tomorrow what I
can do today
* I know that the truth shall make me free, so why do I continue to lie
* I know He gives us revelation knowledge and understanding, so why do I
lean on my own understanding
* I know I should live in the spirit as well as walk in the spirit, so why
do I chose to live in the spirit but walk in the flesh
* I know that when praises go up blessings come down, so why do I refuse to
praise Him
* I know I am saved, so why do I refuse the word He has given me
* I know He has a plan for me, so why am I rushing it because I am eager to
do His will, when it is His time not my time

Mother Teresa said...
If you are searching for God and do not know where to begin, learn to pray
and take the trouble to pray every day. You can pray at work - work doesn't
have to stop prayer and prayer doesn't have to stop work. Tell Him
everything, talk to Him. He is our father, He is to us all whatever religion
we are. We are all created by God, we are his children. We have to put our
trust in Him, believe in Him, work for Him. And if we pray, we will get all
the answers we need.
Come, Holy Spirit, Live in Us
Come, Holy Spirit, live in us
With God the Father and the Son,
And grant us your abundant grace
To sanctify and make us one.
May mind and tongue made strong in love,
Your praise throughout the world proclaim,
And may that love within our hearts
Set fire to others with its flame.
Most blessed Trinity of love
For whom the heart of man was made,
To you be praise in timeless song,
And everlasting homage paid.
Remember to check out God's blessings for you tomorrow! Have a good day!
