Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Blessings this Sunday! With it being 67 degrees out now, I just got back from taking Sammy out for a short walk. It's so nice out. It's going to get cooler again during the week. It's been a nice day - and still light out, and peaceful. Talked to Linus a couple times already, his Mass was really nice where he was, and so was ours here. Texted Lori to see what she's doing, and she texted back Jeremy was over there, so she's enjoying a new boyfriend. She says he's funny and fun to be with. He never did go back to Texas, but stayed here. I bet it's mainly because he met her. I pray everything works out well and they stay in God's will for them, maybe it'll get serious, who knows but God? May God bless them with many blessings.

As a mother sets aside gifts for her children long before they need them, so,
too, has God prepared for our needs long before we call out to Him. Lord,
I give thanks and place my trust in Your loving arms.

"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in
you?" ~1 Corinthians 3:16
M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
We can gently breathe in God's spirit, that spirit which, if not barred out
by selfishness, will enable us to do good works. This means rather that God
can be enabled to do good works through us. We can become channels for
God's spirit to flow through us and into the lives of others. The works
that we can do will be limited only by our spiritual development. We can
let our spirits be in harmony with God's spirit and there need be no limit
to what we can do in the realm of human relationships.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may become a channel for God's spirit. I pray that God's
spirit may flow through me into the lives of others.

Wash Day
Lord, help me wash away all my selfishness and vanity, so I may serve you
with perfect humility through the week ahead.
Tuesday
Ironing Day
Dear Lord, help me iron out all the wrinkles of prejudice I have collected
through the years so that I may see the beauty in others.
Wednesday
Mending Day
O God, help me mend my ways so I will not set a bad example for others.
Thursday
Cleaning Day
Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many faults I have been hiding in
the secret corners of my heart.
Friday

O God, give me the grace to shop wisely so I may purchase eternal happiness
for myself and all others in need of love.
Saturday
Cooking Day
Help me, my Savior, to brew a big kettle of brotherly love and serve it with
clean, sweet bread of human kindness.
Sunday
The Lord's Day
O God, I have prepared my house for you. Please come into my heart so I may
spend the day and the rest of my life in your presence.

Children Learn what they Live

If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,
he learns to be guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,
he learns to be appreciative.
If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice.
If a child lives with security,
he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
he learns to find love in the world.
The Beautiful Color of LOVE

What color is God,
Asked the child with skin so fair
Is he white like me,
Does he have light hair?

Is God dark like me,
Asked the child with skin of golden hue,
Has he hair that's dark and curly,
Are his eyes black or blue?

I think God is red like me,
The Indian boy is heard to say --
He wears a crown of feathers,
And turns our nights to day

Each one of us knows that God is there
In ALL the colors above
But be sure of this, the one color he is,
Is the beautiful color of love

So when your soul goes to Heaven,
When your life comes to its end --
He will be waiting, and his hand to you
Will he extend.

There will be no colors in Heaven,
Everyone will be the same.
You will only be judged by your earthly deeds,
Not your color or your name

So when your time comes,
And you see God in his Heaven above,
Then you will see the only color that counts,
The beautiful color of LOVE.

This Week's Morning Offering Lenten Challenge

Each day this week, give away something that is valuable to you. Give away a piece of clothing. Donate your time to a worthy project. Instead of eating out, give the cost of that meal to someone in need. Ask your patron saint to help you make hard sacrifices just as they did, and to help you detach from your possessions in order to be more free to think of the needs of others.

Challenge your friends and family to do the same on your favorite social media channel. Spread the love this Lent!

"Little things done out of love are those that charm the Heart of Christ.”

- St. Therese of Lisieux

Mother Teresa Said...

The fruit of Silence is Prayer.
The fruit of Prayer is Faith.
The fruit of Faith is Love.
The fruit of Love is Service.
The fruit of Service is Peace.

Jesus Calling

March 15

Listen to the love song that I am continually singing to you. I take great delight in you. I rejoice over you with singing. The voices of the world are a cacophony of chaos, pulling you this way and that. Don’t listen to those voices; challenge them with My Word. Learn to take minibreaks from the world, finding a place to be still in My Presence and listen to My voice.

There is immense hidden treasure to be found through listening to Me. Though I pour out blessings upon you always, some of My richest blessings have to be actively sought. I love to reveal Myself to you, and your seeking heart opens you up to receive more of My disclosure. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
—Zephaniah 3:17

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
—Matthew 7:7

A Prayer for Lent

Lord our God, you formed man from the clay of the earth
and breathed into him the spirit of life,
but he turned from your face and sinned.
In this time of repentance we call out for your mercy.
Bring us back to you and to the life your Son won for us
by his death on the cross,
for he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.

Good Morning! We have a VA appointment this morning, so that will take up a good part of the day. I have to get some things done before we leave, so the morning will go fast. Hope things work out for Lori and Jeremy. I'm happy for her. Happy Monday everyone! pinky

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Hello all...My TV died and I went and bought another one. I cannot put it together so I need to wait until my son comes home from work and puts it together for me. If it isn't one thing it's another. Someone say a prayer for me to calm down. I am used to having my TV on day and night. I feel lost without it.

Blessings to all who post and read here. May you have a good day.

Julie - nice graphics!

Pinky - how was the Dr. appt. for your husband?

Bobbiesue - hope you get your new TV put together soon, I haven't had the TV on since Linus left. I just don't watch hardly ever. I love the peace and quiet. But I also love Relevant Radio too, and listen to it certain times. It's great! Do you get that where you are?
