Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Be inspired to try something new and much of what you dream can
become your life. Lord, thank you for giving me the freedom of choice,
and grant me the courage to experience my opportunities and create
new ones.

Scripture for the day:

"There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every
affair under the heavens." ~Ecclesiastes 3:1

Meditation for the day:

There is a time for everything. We can learn to wait patiently until
the right time comes. Easy does it. We can waste our energies in
trying to get things before we are ready to have them, before we have
earned the right to receive them. A great lesson we have to learn is
how to wait with patience. We can believe that all our life is a
preparation for something better to come when we have earned the right
to it. We can believe that God has a plan for our lives and that this
plan will work out in the
fullness of time.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may learn the lesson of waiting patiently. I pray that
I may not expect things until I have earned the right to have them.

Hello my friends! Another beautiful day Our Lord gave us today! We ate our
lunch in the patio - it was so nice. Koda went home now - he was fine all
weekend. They offered to take care of Sammy anytime we need a sitter, we're
wondering when we go to Texas the weekend after Easter if we should take him
over to Deil's, or to Koda's place. Where Koda is is a lot closer, just
wonder if he'd be happy there, he doesn't know them all. He knows Deil and
loves her. Today was scary for Lori - last night at the parking lot at the
restaurant in Mpls. all of a sudden her car locked us in - she panicked at
first but then thought manually, so opened the doors manually. Then
everything was fine all the way home. Today she and her friend, Elicia, was
driving to a TEC reunion and the car stopped steering so she had to call to
get it tolled to a garage in that town.. Then called her Dad to pick her
up. He drove them to the TEC Reunion then, and she's now got our car for
tomorrow and he can get a ride to work with our neighbor we hope. Thanks be
to God she didn't have an accident and thanks to God this didn't happen last
night!!! God is taking care of us. She can't afford a new car so let's
hope it can be fixed without it being too costly.

You give me strength

Holy Spirit when I am weak, You give me strength to carry on.
You comfort me each time I seek Your loving arms to lean on.

You are the Father that I need. You have the wisdom that I lack.
You give me courage to succeed, when I alone, would have turned back.

I may have crosses in my life, but I will never know despair;
for when I seek you in my strife, I know so well you will be there.

and this one:

Jesus Help Me

Jesus Help me. In every need let me come to you with a humble trust saying,
Jesus help me. In all my doubts, perplexities and temptations, Jesus help
me. In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials, Jesus help me. In failure
of my plans and hopes, in disappointments, troubles and sorrows, Jesus help
me.

When others fail me and your grace alone can assist me, Jesus help me. When
I throw myself on your tender love, as my Lord and Savior, Jesus help me.
When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good coming from my
efforts, Jesus help me.

When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus help
me. Always, Always, in spite of weariness, falls and shortcomings of every
kind, Jesus help me and never forsake me.

Almighty Lord, before you I come with all my faith, begging you for comfort
in my difficulties. Do not forsake me, My Lord. Open your doors, that your
almighty arms will open and close as you design to give that tranquility
that I so desire.

Oh my God! Receive my supplication from a wounded heart that is always
fighting for me with your Divine power. Never let me scramble for want of
help.

Almighty Lord, assist me to find shelter in your celestial bounty forever.

Amen

Father of Eternal Light

O Father of Eternal Light, Disperse the clouds of our ignorance.

O Father, the creator of Angels and of men, create in us new hearts.

O Father, the Author of all, May Your Kingdom come.

O Father, Source of all love,
multiply our works of charity and make them fruitful for Eternal Life.

O Father, Source of all power, make us ready to do all things for Your
glory.

O Father of all consolation, sustain us in our trials.

O Father of infinite love, be first in our hearts and the center of our
lives.

O Father, desiring the salvation of all, accomplish in us Your plan of
Divine Mercy.

O Father, Who out of pure love gave Your Son for the salvation of the world.

Please save this world you love so much.
O Father, who sent forth the Incarnate Word, grant that He may reign supreme
in all hearts.

Can I borrow $ 25?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old
son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man
said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can
borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march
yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being
so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's
questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he
really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the
little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man.
'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25
you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his
father...

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home
early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged
for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should
not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with
those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to
share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace
us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel
the loss for the rest of their lives.

Kindness is a quality that belongs to the very nature of God (Mt 11:29). If
you love God, it follows that you must also love all that God loves; and God
loves the neighbours with whom you live. That being the case, you will go
your way in life looking for occasions to help each and every one; to give
them cosolation, and to do all in your power to make them happy (Lk 6:33).

Kindness should be uppermost, especially in dealings with the poor because
they are treated harshly by many. It also should be apparent in dealings
with the sick and infirm, because these are already suffering under
infliction. But above all, kindness should be our guide when we have
dealings with those who are our enemies (Ro 12:21). [Yes, including the
infidels.] Hatred must be conquered by love; persecution must be conquered
by meekness.

Let us pray:
Lord, we pray we may be all you have called us to be. May we be alert to
the enemy's schemes to steal our positions in the truth; to knock us off
guard and buckle our knees in fear and weakness. Help us to stand true and
strong in our position of faith today. May we be courageous in the face of
adversity and compassionate in the midst of confusion and chaos. Apart from
you we have nothing, but with you today may we be on guard, true,
courageous, strong and filled to overflowing with love. In Jesus' name we
pray, Amen.

Accept yourself completely.
Accept your strengths and your weaknesses,
Your gifts and shortcomings,
Your good points and your faults.

Accept yourself completely as a human being.
Accept that you are here to learn and grow,
And accept that you are learning and growing.
Accept the personality you've developed, and
Accept your power to heal and change.

Accept yourself without condition or reservation.
Accept that the core of your being is goodness
and that your essence is love, and
Accept that you sometimes forget that.

find an ever-deepening inner strength.
From this place of strength, accept your life fully and open yourself to the
lessons it offers you today.

Accept that within your mind are both fear and love,
and accept your power to choose which you will experience as real.

Accept the times that you choose fear
as part of your learning and healing process, and
Accept that you have the potential and power
in any moment to choose love instead.

Accept mistakes as a part of growth,
so you are always willing to forgive yourself and
give yourself another chance.

Accept that your life is the expression of your thought, and commit yourself
to aligning your thoughts more and more each day with the thought of Love.
