They are wise who depend on God. Lord, Your perfect law revives my soul.
Keeping Your law makes me rich.

"No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a
bed, but puts it on a lamp stand, so that those who enter may see the
light." The glory of the Lord shines in the beauty of our character. It
is risen in us, even though we can realize it only in part. "Now you
see as in a glass darkly, but later we will see face to face." The
glory of the Lord is too dazzling for mortals to see fully on earth.
But some of God's glory is risen in us when we try to reflect that light
in our lives.

I pray that I may try to be a reflection of God's light. I pray that
some of its rays may shine in my life.
Greetings my friends! Hope your Sunday went well and you were able to rest
and enjoy the Lord's day. At Mass this morning it was announced that my
friend's husband died this morning, I just talked to him yesterday - he's
made Rosaries for many years and I asked him to make me a blue one, no
hurry, and he was going to. Then this morning I hear he died! He was in a
wheelchair, a disabled veteran. He'd always wheel himself to Church and
pretty much took care of himself in getting around. Nancy, his wife, just
walked next to him. I don't think he's 70 yet, and I don't know what caused
his death so suddenly this morning. So let's keep Nancy and her family in
our prayers, and his soul. I'll call her tomorrow, I think, if that
wouldn't be intruding on family time in making arrangements etc. Or maybe I
should just send a card? Or email? I'll see what I get led to do. I hope
she can still stay there in their apt. and that she won't have to move
because of his SS gone now - anyway half goes when they die. She mentioned
that to me one time. Well I talked to Sister LaDonna tonight - and we've
decided - her idea, that each of us sisters just take one day a week to call
her instead of taking turned every day, and that would be easier on
everyone, knowing that day would be always theirs.
That would be almost perfect - every other day except weekends, this is so
no calls on her cell will be charged. I had a nice visit this afternoon
with a friend I haven't seen for awhile, so that was fun!
'So you are a King then?' Pilate asked. Jesus replied. "It is you who say
it."
The Self-Giving Love of Jesus, the King of Kings
The preaching of Jesus made a deep impression on the people because he
taught them with authority (Mt 7:29). That authority was the force of his
love which made him 'gentle and humble in heart' (Mt 11:29) and which, more
than the nails, kept him on the cross. Today, we celebrate what has already
happened but which has still to trickle down into every corner of reality:
the risen and glorious Lord Jesus holds authority over all creation. The
ultimate authority is the self-giving love of Jesus.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me to accept your rule in every corner of my life. May I
have in me the same values and outlook as are in you.
Let me imitate you in my conduct and love my neighbour as you love them.
Make me sensitive to the sorrowful and unfortunate and generous in helping
others where possible.
Banish from my life every allegiance which is contrary to your gentle rule.
Amen
When it looks like I have failed
Lord are You trying to tell me something?
Failure doesn’t mean I’m a failure.
It does mean I haven’t yet succeeded.
Failure doesn’t mean I have accomplished nothing.
It does mean I have learned something.
Failure doesn’t mean I have been a fool.
It does mean I had enough faith to experiment.
Failure doesn’t mean I have been disgraced.
It does mean I dared to try.
Failure doesn’t mean I don’t have it.
It does mean I have to do something a different way.
Failure doesn’t mean I am inferior.
It does mean I am not perfect.
Failure doesn’t mean I should give up.
It does mean I should try harder.
Failure doesn’t mean You have abandoned me.
It does mean You have a better idea. Amen.

HE CARRIED ME
By Dennis Espineli Salcedo
I laid my head upon His breast
And felt a sudden storm of love
I placed my ears upon His chest
And heard the tapping of His heart
As He gently runs His fingers through my hair
I felt His love so tender and so true
Showing me how He really cares
Compassion flowing through and through
He touches like no any other
With healing in His hands
He comforts like a mother
He cares more than a friend
And then I looked into His eyes
And saw the fire that floods my soul
His beautiful love that never dies
Could make me love Him even more
As I remember the memories we shared together
Streams of water filled my eyes
But He wiped my tears like a father
Telling me there's no need to cry
And once again I saw Him smiled at me
A smile that lights the sunshine on my face
His misty eyes that set a prisoner free
He is my hiding place
I genuflected to show respect
I bowed my head, my knees I bent
Then with His arms He wrapped my neck
And dearly kissed me on my head
He suddenly drew me closer to Him
In His arms I can feel the heat
Inside my soul there's a star glistening
He made my world complete
I felt an atmosphere of love
And heard Him whispered on my ear
His voice as sweet as the voice of a dove
Saying, "My son have no fear."
I placed my life upon His hands
He held my heart as tender as can be
And on His soft arms I rested
Then He gently carried me.
Being a Better Person - Simple Steps to Take Each Day
By David Nuka
The world has become such a fast-paced and hectic place in which to live and
work that many people have forgotten to consider other people. There are so
many people today who really only care about themselves and think they
should be put above the rest of us. This is why there are so many people who
are considering being a better person. Think about the last time you held
the door open for someone or let someone go in front of you at the grocery
store line. You probably felt so good about yourself. Although this is
great, years ago people did not feel this because it was second nature to do
these things.
Being a better person does not mean you have to change your entire lifestyle
and outlook on life. You just have to make an effort to include a few things
into your lifestyle. One of the easiest ways to be a better person in life
is by saying please and thank you. There is a reason why children are taught
this valuable lesson at such a young age. The more you say these little
words, the more they will become automatic. It will get to the point where
you do not even have to think about saying them.
Another way you can try being a better person is by being courteous. This
can happen in a few different ways. Overall, what you want to do is think
about other people and their feelings. If you see someone drop something in
front of you, all you have to do is pick it up and give it back to them.
They will be appreciative of that because someone was considering them.
Another thing you can do that goes a long way in becoming a better person is
to follow the golden rule. Only do something to someone if you want it done
to yourself.
There are a few other things you can do in your quest of being a better
person. The great thing about all of these is that they are simple. You
really do not have to go out of your way that much to be a better person in
life. You can try smiling more to people, as well as listening to them. So
many people do not listen to others because they are so preoccupied or
simply do not care. This will show you care about them.
We're now in the season of Thanksgiving where we should give thanks for
everything we've been blessed with, let's all give thanks for being a better
person than we were yesterday.

Aspirations of Love to Jesus Christ
I.
My Jesus, Thou alone art sufficient for me.
My love, do not permit me to separate myself from Thee. When shall I be
able to say, " My God, I cannot lose Thee any more?"
II.
Lord, who am I, that Thou shouldst desire so much to be loved by me?
And whom shall I love, if I love not Thee, my Jesus? Here I am, Lord;
dispose of me as Thou pleasest. Give me Thy love; I ask nothing more.
Make me all Thine before I die.
III.
Eternal Father, for the love of Jesus Christ have pity on me.
My God, I wish for Thee alone, and nothing more.
IV.
O my Jesus! would that I could be entirely spent for Thee, as Thou didst
spend Thyself entirely for me!
If I had died while I was in sin, I could no more have loved Thee; now
that I can love Thee, I will love Thee as much as I can.
To Thee do I consecrate all the remainder of my life. I wish only, and I
wish in all things, that which Thou dost desire.
V.
When I see Thee for the first time, my Jesus, may it be with a look of
mercy.
May I die rather than ever offend Thee again.
Thou wilt not leave me, I will not leave Thee; so shall our love endure
in this world and in the next.
VI.
I should be too ungrateful, O my Jesus, if I loved Thee but little,
after so many graces.
Thou didst give Thyself all to me; I give myself all to Thee.
Thou lovest those that love Thee. I love Thee; do Thou also love me. If I
love Thee but little, give Thou me the love Thou requirest of me.
What hast Thou not done to oblige me to love Thee? Make me conquer all
things to please Thee.
VII.
Accept the love of a soul which has offended Thee so deeply.
Show me the immense good Thou art, that I may love Thee exceedingly.
I desire to love Thee exceedingly in this life, that I may love Thee
exceedingly in the next.
VIII.
I hope to love Thee for all eternity. O Eternal God! Oh that I had always
loved Thee! Oh that I had died rather than have offended Thee!
I give Thee my will, my liberty; dispose of me as Thou pleasest.
May my only happiness be to please Thee, O Infinite Goodness.
O my God! I rejoice in that Thou art infinitely happy.
IX.
Thou art omnipotent; make me a Saint.
Thou hast sought me while I was fleeing from Thee; Thou didst love me when
I despised Thy love;
abandon me not, now that I seek Thee and love Thee.
May I this day give myself wholly to Thee.
X.
Send me any chastisement, but deprive me not of the power of loving Thee.
I thank Thee that Thou givest me time to love Thee. I love Thee, my Jesus,
I love Thee;
and I hope to die repeating, "I love Thee, I love Thee."
XI.
I desire to love Thee without reserve, and to do all that I know to be
pleasing to Thee.
I love Thy good pleasure more than all the pleasures of the world.
I accept all the troubles that may happen to me, provided I love Thee, O
my God. O my Jesus! that I could die for Thee, as Thou didst die for me!
XII.
Oh that I could make all men love Thee as Thou deservest!
O will of God, thou art my love.
O God of love, give me love.
XIII.
O Mary, draw me all to God.
O my Mother, make me always have recourse to thee.
It is for thee to make me a Saint. This is my hope.
Good night all - Sweet Dreams and may your Monday be a wonderful day to
start out the week! God bless you!
