Love people so much that you will do all that you can to lessen their human

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
God has a plan for the world we live in. God's design for the world is a
universal fellowship of men and women, guided by God. The plan for our
lives is also in the mind of God. In times of quiet meditation we can seek
God's guidance, for the revealing of God's plan for our day. Then we can
live this day according to God's guidance. Many of us are not making of our
lives what God means them to be, and so we are unhappy. We can miss the
God's plan for our lives.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may try to follow God's design for today. I pray that I may
live my life today consistent with God's plan.
Hello my friends! How was your day? Hope it went well - today was really a
lot cooler, had to wear a sweater to Church, and kept a sweater on all day!
Really cool! Not used to that, and tomorrow will be the same. First we had
our coffee in the morning with Angie, then Mass, had a really nice, relaxing
day, took naps, and Lori came to make us supper on the grill and visit.
What a nice day! Tomorrow's Labor Day already and we leaving early in the
morning to go to my sister's to celebrate my oldest sister's 89th birthday!
We go there and Lori is going to Wis. with friends, and ski dive for the
first time. Hope everything goes well for them. That must be quite the
experience! Angie leaves in the morning - it was so nice having her here
since Friday - Nice talking about old times, our classmates etc. and some
she keeps in touch with yet besides me. I only keep in touch in her.
Movement Through Prayer

respect?
To cease looking for someone to help you and to devote yourself to helping
others?
Tell Me about your plans
What goals have you set? What goals would you like to set? What would you
like to do with your time? Tell Me about your job, your hobbies, your
leisure activities, your visits with family and friends. How would you like
Me to help you? I died for you; certainly I will help you in all other ways,
too.
With what special graces do you want Me to favor you? About which situations
would you like Me to give you insights? Which gifts of My Spirit do you need
to live a more successful Christian life? Ask Me for these, because I long
to share them with you—and to share them abundantly.
Tell Me which problems you want Me to help you resolve, which ones you want
Me to help you get through as you wait for the resolution. Ask Me to help
you increase your trust in our Father’s plans for these problems. He loves
you, I love you, My Holy Spirit loves you, and we, as One, desire what’s
best for you.
Your tears have touched Me. Tell Me what makes you cry. Lean into My
shoulder and let your tears flow. I will absorb your pain, and your tears
will become as drops in the ocean. Tell Me how much you need Me to relieve
your pain. I already bore your pain on My cross; let Me heal you now.

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited
island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he
scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of
driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few
possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived
home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the
sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with
grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship
that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did
you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw
your smoke signal," they replied.
It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we
shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the
midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is
burning to the ground ---- it just may be a smoke signal that summons
the grace of God.
Prayer to Our Lady:
Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who
fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was
left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we turn to you, O Virgins of
virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and
sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not despise our petitions, but
in your mercy hear us and answer us. Amen.
