Daily Positive Thread for Friday

Peace of Jesus to all! Another blessed warm sunny day here to enjoy! Lori was just here for supper, lunch too, but tonight I found out that she met someone last Saturday. His name is Jeremy and they hit it off. He lives in Texas right now but is moving back here as his family is here, and he wants a job here. Meeting her will make the move faster. He already has a place to stay here with a friend. He was just here for his Grandfather's funeral. Pinky, that's why I continued with color, because it's reasonable with Georgia, otherwise it was out of the question. There's a lady in our Church who's a Communion Minister, and she has the most beautiful red hair I've ever seen, and when she distributes Communion right under the sky light, her hair just shines and I told her that! It's so beautiful. I like mine too, but hers is prettier. I was the only redhead in my family so maybe that's why my sisters want me to keep it, My had had some red in his hair and his siblings had some red. Please pray that Lori and Jeremy work out - all according to God's plan. He was never married either and no kids. She says he's a lot of fun! Since Saturday she's seen and talked to him quite a bit getting to know each other. He's tall, over six feet! May God's Will be done!

We don't choose how or when we will die, but we do decide how we will live.
Lord, forgive my frequent drifting and help me to see clearly the best path
for me.

"The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of a teacher, that I may know how to
sustain the weary with a word. Morning by morning he wakens-- wakens my ear
to listen as those who are taught." ~Isaiah 50:4

My five sense are my means of communication with the material world.
They are the links between my physical life and the material manifestations
around me. But I can sever all connections with the material world when I
wish to hold communion with God. I can hush my mind and bid all my senses
be still, before I can become attuned to communicate with the God who
created me and loves me so much.

I pray that I may get my spirit in tune with the Spirit of God. I pray that
through faith and communion with God I may receive all the strength I need.
O Jesus crucified,
for us you suffered, for us you died,
on the cross.
How can we pass by and not care?
It was our sins that nailed him there...
See the crowd unpitying stare,
"Forgive them Father," is his prayer...
Thorns the only crown he must wear,
Thirst and wounds our King must bear...
See our high priest makes his great prayer,
Himself the victim, bleeding bare...
Let our lives, by giving, declare;
Amen, Amen to that great prayer...
May we die to sin and so share,
The triumph he enacted there...
On the cross.

GOD KNOWS JUST WHAT WE NEED

A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her daughter
was very sick with a fever. She left her work and stopped by the
pharmacy to get some medication for her daughter.

Upon returning to her car she found that she had locked her keys in
the car. She was in a hurry to get home to her sick daughter. She
didn't know what to do, so she called her home and told the baby
sitter what had happened and that she did not know what to do.

The baby sitter told her that her daughter was getting worse. She
said, "You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."
The woman looked around and found an old rusty coat hanger that had
been thrown down on the ground, possibly by someone else who at some
time or other had locked their keys in their car. Then she looked at
the hanger and said, "I don't know how to use this." So she bowed her
head and asked God to send her some help.

Within five minutes an old rusty car pulled up, with a dirty, greasy,
bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag on his head. The
woman thought, "This is what you sent to help me?" But, she was
desperate, so she was also very thankful.

The man got out of his car and asked her if he could help. She said,
"Yes, my daughter is very sick. I stopped to get her some medication
and I locked my keys in my car. I must get home to her. Please, can
you use this hanger
to unlock my car?"

He said, "Sure". He walked over to the car, and in less than one
minute the car was opened.

She hugged the man and through her tears she said, "Thank You So Much!
You are a very nice man."

The man replied, "Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison
yesterday. I was in prison for car theft and have only been out less
than 24 hours."

The woman hugged the man again and with sobbing tears cried out loud,
"Oh, Thank you God! You even sent me a Professional!"

God may not always send us what we expect, but He will always send us
what we need. It's up to us to have the wisdom to recognize the
difference and be thankful.

THE DEVIL´S BEATITUDES

If the Devil were to write his Beatitudes, they would probably go something
like this:

* Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an
hour once a week in Church ~ they are my best
workers.

* Blessed are those who wait to be asked and expect to be
thanked ~ I can use them.

* Blessed are the touchy, with a bit of luck they may stop going to church
~ they are my missionaries.

* Blessed are those who are very religious but get on everyone's nerves ~
they are mine forever.

* Blessed are the troublemakers ~ they shall be called my children.

* Blessed are those who have no time to pray ~ they are easy prey for me.

* Blessed are the gossipers ~ for they are my secret agents.

* Blessed are those critical of Church leadership ~ for they shall inherit
a place with me in my fate.

* Blessed are the complainers ~ I'm all ears for them.

* Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and
not yourself ~ I've got you.

Meditations by Padre Pio

I truly feel my heart bursting from my breast on hearing of your suffering. What wouldn’t I do to see you relieved of it. But why are you so anxious? Why are you so restless? Come on, my dear daughter, I have never seen Jesus grant you so many jewels as He does now. I have never seen you so dear to Jesus as you are now. So why do you tremble and fear? Your fear and trembling is similar to that of a child in the arms of its mother. So your fear is useless and silly.

Mother Teresa Said...
What is our spiritual life?
A love union with Jesus, in which the divine and the human
give themselves completely

March 12

Waiting, trusting, and hoping are intricately connected, like golden strands interwoven to form a strong chain. Trusting is the central strand, because it is the response from My children that I desire the most. Waiting and hoping embellish the central strand and strengthen the chain that connects you to Me. Waiting for Me to work, with your eyes on Me, is evidence that you really do trust Me. If you mouth the words “I trust You” while anxiously trying to make things go your way, your words ring hollow. Hoping is future-directed, connecting you to your inheritance in heaven. However, the benefits of hope fall fully on you in the present.

Because you are Mine, you don’t just pass time in your waiting. You can wait expectantly, in hopeful trust. Keep your “antennae” out to pick up even the faintest glimmer of My Presence.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”
—John 14:1

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
—Psalm 27:14

God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

Julie - great graphics! Did you stay home?

Harlene - I know you're praying for Lori's happiness. So comforting to know that someone in PA cares for her to pray for her!

Bobbiesue - I'm stuck at home a lot - lots of things to do around the house. Enjoy it! It sure looks like spring here. I took our plants out in the patio last night.
