Faith is what lifts me to the level of possibility and opens the door to God's promises. Lord, continue to strengthen my belief and bless me with unyielding faith.
Scripture for the Day
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." — Matthew 11:28-30
Meditation for the Day
I can believe that fundamentally all is well. Good things can happen to me. I believe that God cares for me and will provide for me. I need not try to plan ahead. I know that the way will unfold, step by step. I can leave tomorrow's burden to God, because God is the great burden-bearer. God only expects me to carry my one-day's share.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may not try to carry the burden of the universe on my shoulders. I pray that I may be satisfied to do my share each day.

God Doesn´t Look Back, So Don´t You!
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Acts 5:27-33 / Jn 3:31-36
Today’s reading from the Acts of the Apostles gives us a scene that should be quite familiar to all of us. The apostles were spreading the Good News of Jesus, that God is a loving father who never looks backward but always forward, and who wants to help people find life instead of condemning them for not finding it. That is wonderfully good news, but the high priests couldn’t hear it because they were still stuck in an argument about the past, an argument which made them so angry at the apostles that they wanted to kill them. And the tragic result of their staying stuck in the past was that they locked God out of their present.
It can happen to us all, cherishing old grievances, harboring old wounds, waiting to get even. As a wise man once said, “Harboring old grievances is like taking poison and then waiting for our enemy to get sick.” Living in the past is the surest way of locking God and everyone else out of our present, and that would be the greatest tragedy of our life.
Even when our past presses heavily upon us, there is a way of escaping it, and that is to give it to the Lord for his healing. Give it to the Lord to dispose of as he sees fit. Give it all to him, and let him help you build a new life, a life with a future that’s worth waiting for and worth working for!
Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue
Lovely Lady dressed in blue-
Teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy,
Tell me what to say!
Did you lift Him up, sometimes,
Gently on your knee?
Did you sing to Him the way
Mother does to me?
Did you hold His hand at night?
Did you ever try
Telling stories of the world?
O! And did He cry?
Do you really think He cares
If I tell Him things-
Little things that happen? And
Do the Angels' wings
Make a noise? And can He hear
Me if I speak low?
Does He understand me now?
Tell me- for you know?
Lovely Lady dressed in blue-
Teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy,
And you know the way.

Don't Ever
Don't ever be reluctant
to show your feelings
when you're happy, give in to it...
When you're not, live with it.
Don't ever be afraid to try to
make things better
you might be surprised at the results.
Don't ever take the weight of the world
on your shoulders.
Don't ever feel threatened by the future
take life one day at a time.
Don't ever feel guilty about the past
what's done is done. Learn from any
mistakes you might have made.
Don't ever feel that you are alone
there is always somebody there for
you to reach out to.
Don't ever forget that you can achieve
so many of the things you can imagine.
It's not as hard as it seems.
Don't ever stop loving
Don't ever stop believing,
Don't ever stop dreaming your dreams.

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?
If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I'm a
Deliverer?
If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an overcomer?
If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a Comforter?
If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?
If you knew it all, how would you know that I will answer your
questions?
If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to
your rescue?
If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you
whole?
If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?
If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what Jesus
went through?
If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure?
If I gave you all things, how would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me?
If your life was perfect, then what would you need Me for?
THANK YOU, GOD!
Short Prayers for Priests
O Jesus, Savior of the world, sanctify your priests and seminarians.
Lord Our God, in order to govern your people you willed to unite yourself to the ministry of priests. Grant them the grace of accepting your holy will so that, in their ministry and in their life, they may seek only your glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
O God, give us holy priests to celebrate the Sacrifice of Salvation, to give sinners the consolation of pardon and thirsting souls the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lord, grant us many and holy priests.
Grant us holy priests to console those who suffer, to remind all that we are brothers, to bless our homes, our work, our fields so that your kingdom may extend to all souls.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, grant your Church many and holy priests. Queen of the Apostles, pray for us.
Judge Me by the Footprints I Leave Behind
A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam.
He called his parents from San Francisco.
“Mom and Dad, I’m coming home, but I’ve got a favor to ask. I have a friend I’d like to bring with me.”
“Sure,” they replied, “we’d love to meet him.”
“There’s something you should know the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mined and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live.”
“No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us.”
“Son,” said the father, “you don’t know what you’re asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can’t let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He’ll find a way to live on his own.”
At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him.
A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn’t know, their son had only one arm and one leg.
The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren’t as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are.
Thankfully, there’s someone who won’t treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.
Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!!
There’s a miracle called -Friendship- that dwells in the heart. You don’t know how it happens or when it gets started. But you know the special lift It always brings and you realize that Friendship Is God’s most precious gift!
Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to you.
Closing prayer:
Prayer to Our Lady:
Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we turn to you, O Virgins of virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not despise our petitions, but in your mercy hear us and answer us. Amen.
Peace to you all! Hope your day was great today - it was a little better today - was out in the porch for a bit, we ate our evening meal there - Was blessed first thing this morning by two phone calls - one from each daughter! We always like hearing from them! I'm at a loss for words tonight so this will be short! Come and post your blessings, and hope to see more and more friends here!! Good night - Sweet dreams - may your Friday be blessed with many blessings - that you can share with us. God be with you all!
