Greetings my friends! Today was restful - snowing out - Sammy got groomed - he's so cute! Card Club plans being made - tomorrow we play cards at their house, Saturday another couple comes here after Mass - and next week another couple comes here. Unless I find someone who will be my partner for the play-offs, if I do, then that last couple we'll play at the play-offs the first Monday night in May. Linus has to work. I'm trying for Shirley, Fr. Jerry's sister, to see if she even plays 500 and wants to be my partner. The play-offs start at six with a big pot luck supper, then the cards and then see who had the highest score for the year and the lowest. We're in that card club since we moved here almost 11 years ago. Please pray for Linus - something is bothering him inside from the not taking anti-depressants anymore - he gets jittery - We both are hoping he won't have to go back on that drug again. Let us pray God takes care of that situation. In 2 weeks yet before he meets up with the doctor.
When you meet God in prayer, everything becomes new. Lord, may
I be humbly joyful in my faith.

Fear is the curse of the world. Our fears can be many. Fear is everywhere.
I can fight fear as I would a plague. I can turn it out of my life. There
is not room for fear in the heart in which God dwells. Fear cannot exist
where true love is or where faith lives. So I need not fear. Fear is evil,
but "perfect love casts out fear." Fear can destroy hope and hope is
necessary for all of us!
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may have not fear. I pray that I may cast all fear out of my
life.

Three guys were tried for crimes against humanity.
Two guys committed crimes.
One guy didn't.
Three guys were given government trials.
Two guys had fair trials.
One guy didn't.
Three guys were whipped and beaten.
Two guys had it coming.
One guy didn't.
Three guys were given crosses to carry.
Two guys earned their crosses.
One guy didn't.
Three guys were mocked and spit at along the way.
Two guys cursed and spit back.
One guy didn't.
Three guys were nailed to crosses.
Two guys deserved it.
One guy didn't.
Three guys agonized over their abandonment.
Two guys had reason to be abandoned.
One guy didn't.
Three guys talked while hanging on their crosses.
Two guys argued.

Three guys knew death was coming.

PRAYER IN MEMORY OF THE SCOURGING
Jesus, in Thy cruel scourging in which Thou shed Thy Blood most painfully
and abundantly, offering it to Thine Eternal Father in payment for our
impatience and our wantonness, how is it, then, that we do not curb our
wrath and self-love? Oh! let us henceforth try to be more patient in our
trials, to cultivate self-control, and to bear in peace the injuries that

Observe well that as long as you are displeased by the temptations you have
nothing to fear. But why are you sorry about this, if not because you don't
want to experience it? These troublesome temptations come from the evil of
the devil. But the displeasure and suffering we experience come from the
mercy of God, who, contrary to our enemy's will, draws holy tribulations
from malice, through which He purifies the gold that wants to be part of His
treasure.
Furthermore, your temptations come from the devil but your suffering and
afflictions come from God and Paradise. The mother is from Babilonia, but
the children are from Jerusalem. Despise the temptation and embrace the
tribulation. No, no, my daughter, let the wind blow, and do not believe the

Anyone is capable of going to Heaven. Heaven is our home.
Dying is not the end, it is just the beginning.
Death is a continuation of life. This is the meaning of eternal life;
it is where our soul goes to God, to be in the presence of God,
to see God, to speak to God, to continue loving Him with greater love.
We only surrender our body in death - our heart and our soul live forever.
