Make it your goal to be someone that you would like to spend the rest
of your life with. Lord, help me approach my day interested in everything
that happens so that my life will truly be an adventure.

Meditation for the day:

"If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal." Love means to care
enough about other people to really want to do something for them. A
smile, a word of encouragement, a word of love, goes winged on its
way, simple though it may seem, while the mighty words of an orator
can fall on deaf ears. We can use up the odd moments of our day in
trying to do some little thing to cheer up another person. Boredom
can come from thinking too much about ourselves.

Prayer for the day:


I pray that my day may be brightened by some little act of charity. I
pray that I may try today to overcome the self-centeredness that can
bore me.

Hello my friends! Friday is here!! Glory be to God who all are looking
forward to the weekend! Another really nice day here today - and my husband
has been very busy in the yard building a place for beans and cukes etc.
right by the house where it will get lots of sun. He's always creating and
enjoying his time doing it. Praise God we didn't have to sell our place
last year! Got some Fiesta cups today in the mail - birthday present from
my love - signed to the love of my life! These are bigger mugs, all colors.
We'll use them for the first time for coffee in the morning! I quickly got
them all washed and put in their new place. That's a nice blessing for the
day - along with all the other ones God gives continually - Thank you, Lord!
Another big blessing is when you promise prayers for him when he has long
hours standing at work - next week for two weeks! That is so much
appreciated.

Chandeliers - I'm so glad to see you back here and that there was a prayer
you needed - Praise God for that! Come again anytime. And Carba, what a
sweet thing for you to do - read the thread to your friend every night to
bless her. You will be blessed indeed. Lucy - glad you finally got on - I
wonder that the trouble was? One year gone since those tornadoes in Ala.
Sure will pray for Debra and family and all your requests. Juanita - yes,
that's the scripture I meant. It saddens me when people just won't forgive.
One time a lady I knew got so mad at her Mother she said she'd never forgive
her!! I told her what the bible said about that, that then God won't forgive
you and she said, "Well, that's the way it will have to be then." I was
shocked at that. I do hope she's forgiven by now. Her Mother is long dead
and she's in a nursing home from a stroke. Thank you for sharing your
blessings with us about those hummingbirds and the wonderful aroma you have
there!

Secure them against the perils that beset them. Stay, above all, with the

I just wanted to remind you today of how beautiful you are because there is
a father of lies who will try to deceive you. He will try to tell you that
you are not good enough, not attractive enough, not thin enough, Not strong
enough, not smart enough, not righteous enough, and that you are simply
unimportant to Me.
He will try to tell you that you have broken one too many promises, that you
have fallen one too many times, that you have lived one too many lies, and
that you've been going in the wrong direction so long that it is pointless
to turn back now.

But guess what?

YOU DO NOT BELONG TO HIM.

HE IS NOT YOUR father. I AM.

You see, you are My creation. My workmanship. You have been borne of My
thought, every part of you placed together by My hands. You have My
thumbprint upon you. You are a princess/prince, did you know that?

You are My child, the child of THE King! I look at you and see a precious,
priceless pearl. There is no ocean I would not swim, no mountain I would
not climb, no price I would not pay to have you and to be with you and call
you my own.

I already have. I have done all that I could, given all that there is. I
desire to be with you every moment of every day.

How I long for you to talk to Me every day. My love for you never grows
cold. My promises are never broken (contrary to what he might lead you to
believe). My character never changes. And you, my child have been made in
My image.

I love you dearly, unconditionally and completely. I understand every
emotion that you have. I've been there. I count every tear that you cry. I
know every hair on your head. And do you know what? I even know your
weaknesses and your failures and your fears. I know those hidden parts of
you that you wish would go away.

Those dark corners of your world that you stuff deep down, praying that no
one will ever see. I have already seen them and they will not change my love
for you. Nothing will. I love your heart and I desire all of it. I just
wanted to remind you today of how beautiful you are and how precious you are
to Me.

One day an elderly surgeon said to an aging bishop, "Bishop, I just want to
inform you that I'm thinking about leaving the Church. What do you say about
that?"

The bishop asked the medical man if he could give him a few reasons for his
decision. The doctor looked the bishop squarely in the eye and told him that
he was highly disappointed with the Church and all it stood for. "Look," he
explained, "the Church has been around for over a thousand years and today
people are no better than they ever were. Or would you care to deny that?"

"What you say is absolutely right, doctor," said the bishop. "But look at it
this way: we've had water on this earth for millions of years, and you still
go and get your hands dirty every day, don't you?"

The doctor thought that one over, put on his hat, and disappeared from the
bishop's sight. Incidentally, he never left the Church.
