Hello Everyone: I haven't heard from Gloriajean; I hope everything is ok.

So I'm going to post 2 of my favorite prayers.

Evening Prayer of St. Augustine

Watch, Lord, with those who wake or weep tonight. Give the angels and saints charge over those who sleep. O Lord Jesus Christ, tend your sick ones, rest Your weary ones, bless Your dying ones, soothe the suffering ones, pity all the afflicted ones, shield the joyful ones, and all for Your love's sake. Amen.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I'm having lunch with my dd and sister, looking forward to that. The grandsons started their school year yesterday, I hated for them to go back. Summer is passing too fast, before we know it, fall will arrive.

Hello To All!

Cakers - Good Job.

I draw near to my source and know how much all are loved. I turn over any and all obstacles and challenges we all face.

I give thanks and appreciation for this nation, her people, her strength and resilience, and her many blessings. She has outstanding troops, allies, liberties, privileges, and freedoms. Be at peace and know you are loved.

I believe the evening prayer is from the Upanishads/Baghvad Gita (sp) - centuries before it surfaced as a prayer in Christianity. The St. Francis writing was also something the Buddha spoke/taught, centuries before the Christ. If words are meaningful they last from century to century, people to people, faith to faith. Namaste.

Anika, All is well. I went to my PCP. I go back to the specialist on the 21. She was not worried about my weight loss. I am not concerned either. My clothes fit better, Ha! thank you for your concern and may God bless you always.

For those interested in the last days, does anyone know what a blood moon is? There is one coming on Oct. 8th this year. Just two months from now. What is it?

Wikipedia has some information on ""blood moon."" You may want to google there. There is also some Biblical information if you google blood moon.
