When your burden seems heavier than usual, know that your blessings
are more than usual. Lord, I call on you for the strength, the wisdom
and the confidence that I will need today.
Scripture of the day:
"When they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried
out; for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to
them and said, 'Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.'" ~Mark 6:49-50
Meditation of the day:
I can take the most crowded day without fear. I believe that God is with me
and controlling all. I can let confidence be the motif running through all
the crowded day. I need not be worried, because I know that God is my
helper. Underneath are the everlasting arms of God. I can rest in them,
even though the day be full of things crowding in upon me.
Prayer of the Day
I pray that I may be calm and let nothing upset me. I pray that I may not
let material things control me and choke out spiritual things.
Greetings my friends! Hope the day went well for you all - another ordinary
but blessed day for me - we got the humidity back today, so we didn’t' use
the patio since this morning.
This may seem like a broken record, but I'm so grateful that we can stay
here, so grateful for my husband and girls, so grateful for friends given to
us by God, and that means you, too, my friends! I'm also grateful that we
had to wait so long for our miracle, because it made it so much more
special, and coming (the miracle) on the Feast of the Assumption. Wow! I'm
still excited and so grateful! It makes me daily appreciate our house, our
home, our yard, everything, and not take anything for granted!
IMAGINE HEARING THIS
Author Unknown
Imagine praying and hearing this:
"Thank you for calling My Father's House. Please select one of the
following four options:
* Press 1 for requests.
* Press 2 for thanksgiving.
* Press 3 for complaints.
* For all other inquiries, Press 4."
What if God used the familiar excuse:
"All of the angels are helping other customers right now. Please stay
on the line. Your call will be answered in the order it was received."
Can you imagine getting these kinds of responses as you call on God
in prayer?
* "If you'd like to speak with Gabriel, press 1.
* For Michael, press 2.
* For any other angel, press 3."
* "If you want King David to sing you a psalm, press 6."
"For reservations at My Father's House, simply press the letters J-O-
H-N on the keypad, followed by the number 3-1-6."
"For answers to nagging questions about dinosaurs, the age of the
earth and where Noah's ark is, wait until you get here!"
"Our computers show that you have called once today already. Please
hang up immediately."
"This office is closed for the weekend. Please call again Monday."
End of message.
Thank God, you can't call Him too often!!! You only need to ring once
and God hears you. Because of Jesus, you never get a busy signal. God
takes each call and knows each caller personally. When you call and
the Lord will
answer; you will cry for help and He will say: "Here am I."

LET US SEEK GOD'S GUIDANCE
By Helen Steiner Rice
As the threatening "Clouds of Chaos"
Gather in man's muddled mind;
While he searches for an answer
He alone can never find;
May God turn our vision skyward
So that we can see above ...
The gathering clouds of darkness,
And behold God's brightening love.
For today we're facing problems
Man alone can never solve,
For it takes much more than genius
To determine and resolve,
The conditions that confront us
All around on every side,
Daily mounting in intensity
Like the restless, rising tide.
But we'll find new Strength and Wisdom
If instead of proud resistance ...
We humbly call upon the Lord
And seek Divine Assistance;
For the spirit can unravel
Many tangled, knotted threads
That defy the skill and power
Of the world's best hands and heads.
For the plans of growth and progress
Of which we all have dreamed,
Cannot survive materially
Unless the spirit is redeemed.
So as another Year dawns,
Let us seek the Lord in prayer
And place our future hopes and plans
Securely in God's care.
Mother Teresa Said...
"Let the praise of people not destroy the peace
in our hearts and make us restless.
It has been given to us;
let us give it back to Him with great love.
They cannot give praise to all.
It has been given to One --
but it has been given to the lepers, the children,
dying patients -- all.
All that work is only a drop in the ocean,
but if we neglect to put in that drop, the ocean will be less."
Open Your Hearts
God loves you and wants to help you more than you know. Be consciously open
to God's loving presence in your family life and struggles.

The Magic Of Love
Love is like magic and it always will be, for love still
remains life's sweet mystery, Love works in ways that
are wondrous and strange, and there's nothing in life
that love cannot change.
Love can transform the most common place or person
into a thing of beauty and splendor and sweetness and
grace.
Love is unselfish, understanding, and kind, for it sees with
its heart and not with its mind. Love gives and forgives; there
is nothing too much for love to heal with its magic touch.
Love is the language that every heart speaks, for love is
the one thing that every heart seeks, and where there is love
God, too, will abide and bless the family residing inside.
A PRAYER FOR AMERICA
Father, we beg Your blessing for the Right to Life, the Unborn, the weak,
the sick and the old; all who are finding themselves being targets of the
vicious culture of death; that our Lord Jesus bless and protect all who
stand up for the Christian dignity of persons. That God enlighten those who
are traveling down death's highway by their involvement, in any way, with
either the contemporary death culture, selfism, relativeism, or any of the
new age errors of our times, that God envelop our culture with His Divine
protection and help us both individually and as a nation to true
enlightenment, conversion and repentance of our selves and our culture. Help
us to turn from our national sin of abortion, and return to, and once again
become a Christian nation, on the narrow road, that is, the path to becoming
a nation and culture, under God. Amen.
